Lea's "My Life in Theater" from Playbill. Didn't think I'd hear something new, but good to know more about her time as an understudy/cover and her Anne Frank play. She talked more about her Jewish heritage and lineage. (Not to open the can of worms about her "not" being technically Jewish)."
There was a lot new, she had spoken very little or not at all about several of those projects.

For the Youtube-averse: Colbert will air Nobody's Side again tomorow.

Nicholas is missing his fourth performance in a row tonight, unscheduled. they just updated telecharge to have him out as well as Lea who is scheduled out all week ( her son's spring break) . I hope he's ok.

A super annoying British YouTube vlogger is found dead in Shubert Alley with multiple wounds just after the parade had passed them by on Thanksgiving. Hi folks - MickeyJo here commenting from my decade old BWW message board account having accidentally stumbled onto this.
Sorry not to have liked this Chess revival, and sorry I'm not easier to avoid, but this is demonstrably unhinged.
Thanks to the 1 person who appears to have called this out, and no thanks to the moderators who decided this was fine to leave up.

I suspect that I'm missing something in this story. Would anyone care to fill in the blanks? MickeyJo perhaps?

Chess scored 4 wins at the Broadway Ensemble Awards including Most Outstanding Ensemble.

No idea, could not call out something I never saw.
Leaving his message up just makes things confusing.

I think the fact that Mickey Jo reposted what he was objecting to ( someone imagining him being murdered supposedly as a joke) shows what his problem was.
I might disagree with his opinion of Chess but I agree with him that post was inappropriate.

Got that part, confusing or vague was that it was implied it was up for a long time and people were ignoring it or maybe alright with it or what even started such a conversation t begin with.

Oh, please. At least stand by your original post instead of trying to gaslight people. The discussion in posts #89, 90, 91, and 92 was specifically about a specific British Youtube vlogger's review. Then you jump in at post 93 proposing an episode of Elsbeth where a British YouTube vlogger is murdered by the Broadway community for being annoying...but it's strange that anyone would assume you were talking about the British YouTube vlogger who was being discussed in the previous four posts?

The post named no specific individual and was clearly a spoof of CBS television program Elsbeth.

I can report the cast recording is now available in Australia.

Hi everyone, I'm back in the city for a weekend later this month. If Lost Boys is opening on a Sunday, is there potential that the lead cast members in Chess will be out of the the Sunday matinee to attend the opening? Is Sunday a generally good time to see Aaron, Lea, and Nicholas in the show?

I don’t think they would abandon their own show to attend another show’s opening especially when they are also investors in their own show… but that’s just me. Maybe if they had a personal connection to the show?
Sundays have always been my favorite day to attend.. they are often on fire!

Lea has a scheduled absence on the Saturday matinee but none of them are listed as out for the Sunday matinee.

I saw the show last night and all the leads were in. I’ve loved the score since I was a teenager but had never seen the show performed live. Is the story flawed? Yes it always has been but the music is the star anyway. It’s the type of music that punches you in the face even if you are in the back row.
I didn’t love the Schtick of the Arbiter. Were some of the zingers funny? Sure but I think it set a different tone of the show being silly which was a take I didn’t love.
that being said I really enjoyed it and loved being finally able to see it performed live. Will it garner some tony noms, for sure but I think it will be hard for anyone to beat Joshua Henry this season. Could Lea win? It’s likely gonna come down to her or Caissie Levy I think.

Lea finally got her Sardi's pic up. And, of course, looks nothing like her 🤦🏻♀️🤣.

well she's not the first for that to happen. Pretty sure from the hairstyle I know which photo they used but yeah.
Anyway what's far more important is how many people from different stages of her career showed up for her. One in the eye for that stupid narrative that nobody likes her. Stephen Mark Lukas, understudy Nick in FG , came down from Boston where the Beauty and the Beast tour is currently playing, to be there.
Also nice to see Judy Kuhn.
