Between this and the fan recording session for the cast album, I am constantly amazed at how above and beyond Comet goes for Bway fans. I'm excited for all those who get the metaphorical "golden ticket" to perform on the Tonys

On a personal note, it is also so wonderful to read through the responses and see how Comet has changed people's lives.. it reminds me why I love this show

I didn't originally see you can just send a head shot in. I'm going to give this a shot, never having even been on a real stage before anyway performing this would be absolutely amazing.

The love and appreciation this show has for its fans makes me love this show even more. I'm such a vanilla person (white, no tattoos/piercings/odd hair colors) that I will never get chosen, but obviously that won't stop me from submitting!

Found an email on Instagram. Someone got in this morning. Every acception is coming today and no one can say anything until 6pm. And there's also a waitlist.

Yeah, it must've been an email, because she was 100% sure it was true. It'll be really exciting to see how they actually use these "extras" in the performance. (For reference, my friend is a music student but not a professional singer or dancer, so I'm not entirely sure that the "extras" will be performing, per se--I would expect that they might be seated onstage on a small-scale replica of the Imperial set, and used as crowd singers and egg-shakers or something, similar to the recording session for the OBC. Of course, that would imply that the medley would use some part of the Abduction or Balaga, but who knows?)

I'd imagine that it's a form letter that got sent out for both so if you haven't heard, as I haven't , I'd assume it's a no go...

Oh well! Amazing that there was a chance at all, but I also will be interested in seeing what they use the "extras" for.
