I’m curious as well. Elliot said in August that it won’t be a replica and they will make necessary improvements from The London production. Also, designer Bunny Christie said she is making some changes and using some new ideas in regards to the set.
I didn't want to make a special trip into the city for this since I'm coming in in February. However, when I saw the casting announcement that completely changed. This is such an amazing cast that I already bought tickets this morning. Particularly excited for Matt Doyle and Jennifer Simard.

That language was also in the announcement press release. It feels like Marketing Speak to try to reach the people who had complaints about the London production. Could be as simple as key changes and modified arrangements for Bobbie and natural blocking changes for new actors.
Bought tickets yesterday for front row mezzanine on the 50th anniversary of the original opening night (4/26). So glad I splurged before this cast was announced because it’s going to be madness with tickets.
^I'll be there the same week - just have to pick a date!
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

Kind of disappointing Kyle Dean is playing such a tiny role.
If he plays Andy anything like Richard Fleeshman did in London, you won't be disappointed in the least. Of the males in the cast, the character of Andy was second only to Jamie in being the most memorable performance.."
Claybourne Elder is playing Andy. Massey is playing Theo, the Kathy analogue.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
That's a shirtload of Talent on one stage. I may have some trouble thinking about Etai marrying someone other than me but I will deal with it.
The only quibble I can think of is the wide array of ages of this cast. It is certainly possible for people of various ages to be friends but I always thought part of the original theme was how 30 (or so) year olds manage with married and single life in Manhattan. Etai can still pass as a teen on stage and then you have Patti at 70. I trust the Director but it does seem like a real mixed bag. And I would love it if the insanely talented Nikki covered Bobbi. I am wondering how this group of mostly Broadway vets and favorites will do at the box office. I don't really see a "madness" with tickets here outside of us Broadway fanatics.
Tick Tock on the West End was in the show as a nightmare sequence of sorts with many people involved. I don't think we've professionally seen it as a solo danced by anyone since the 95 Revival. I know the concert version did something with their Kathy and the ensemble women as well.

DOH! I totally misread that announcement. I stand corrected. In my defense, I turn 50 today. Blame it on mild dementia.

I always though it was how the central character feels about their own age and the constant reminders (either direct or indirect) from their circle of friends (representing societal constructs) that they are not yet married. As long as the relationships are believable, I really don't care. The director did a fantastic job in London, so I have faith this cast will work as well.

I think having a range of ages helps with Bobbi's existential issues- she has young friends getting married, old friends ambivalent in their relationships, peers getting divorced. How can she feasibly have a concrete opinion on a relationship for herself or relationships in general?
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
I will say while it's a really talented cast, it's also very...not diverse. I'd venture to say it's blindingly white. Yes, there's two black actors, but no Latins or Asians can sing Sondheim?

We'll be on the same row at that performance!
Just remembering you've had an "and"
When you're back to "or"
Makes the "or" mean more than it did before
Unpopular opinion, but this cast is so boring. I saw it in London. There's not a single person cast so far that makes me want to rush out and spend 3X as much to see it again.
Like a firework unexploded
Wanting life but never
knowing how
Definitely adding this to my trip but can’t afford anything other than rear mezz. For those who have sat up there at the Jacobs how is the view from row 1 of the rear mezz

I had first row rear mezz for The Ferryman and the view is pretty good. However, don't go any further back than front row because the legroom gets even worse than normal for a rear mezz.

Good to know. I’m 5’11 so find some of the theatres a little tight
I bet the show sells well but I don't think its going to be a sell out breakaway hit. It should do well with some premium sales and enough TDF sales to keep this thing afloat through the summer if not the fall. Have booked my tickets for end of March! Cant wait to see Katrina, Patti, and the rest of the cast (minus Seiber) live for the first time! Really cool especially since I've been following all these performers for most of my life, and here they are all together!

Very Cool! I will be suspiciously eyeing everyone there haha.

”
I’m going to guess yes, since it isn’t a limited run. Odds are most of the cast will sign a 1 year contract.

If the reviews and word of mouth are anything like the London run and it earns some Tonys, it's very likely to be around a while. The show has never hit a 2-year run on Broadway. It would be nice to see a production that breaks that record.

Possibly. Tickets are on sale through Sept. 27. If sales are solid and it wins a few Tonys, I'd say it extends until the end of 2020.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I am also a little surprised at the lack of Latin and Asian actors. I guess there's hope for Susan?
The recent SUNDAY revival was better cast in terms of diversity.
