Hazel Flagg
Illya, Darling (Please! It's got some incredible orchestrations/arrangments! and a rumored Sondheim song!)
Nefertiti (It Happens Very Softly, one of the greatest unknown ballads)

On a related note---
How about the soundtracks of...
The Boyfriend (those wacky orchestrations!)
A Little Night Music (I mean, come on, the rewritten The Glamorous Life is brilliant and charming)

The Australian production of SUNSET BOULEVARD - with Hugh Jackman as Joe Gillis. It was never released on CD but maybe they had recorded the show.

I did not think about Hugh Jackman's Sunset Boulevard.

Anyone know, assuming that BFO will be recorded?

I knew this thread wouldn't last long without someone pining for 'Carrie.'

Hey, people buy Ed Wood movies too ...

The national tour of Sweet Charity that starred Chita Rivera
Cabaret with Gina Gershon as Sally and Raul Esparza as the Emcee
Last summer's Kennedy Center Sondheim festival casts of Company and Merrily We Roll Along
The upcoming Actor's Fund Chess benefit concert
The Urinetown tour cast
Various Chicago replacement casts (excluding the current one)
Thoroughly Modern Mille with Christian Borle as Jimmy
Hello, Dolly! revival cast ca. 1978
Smile
Dancin'
Big Deal
Marilyn: An American Fable
Busker Alley
and I second the need for the soundtrack to The Boyfriend. (And while I'm at it, that needs a DVD release, as well.)

Ah, I cherish my scratchy cassette tape recordings of my Miss Gulch Returns and TIME LP's. Those were the days...

How about a studio recording of "Drood" with all the music? Including the cut and added songs. There could be a second disc that included all the murderers, all the Datchery's, all the various lover's duets...

I would like to have heard
*ANNIE the Revival with Joanna Pacetti and the late Nell Carter, and Sutton Foster as Star to Be.
*WEST SIDE STORY Revival with Debbie Allan, Josie De Guzman, Brent Barret, and Stephen Bogardus.

PHANTESS, as far as Beauty and the Beast goes there are a plethera of titles and casts to choose from

*Broadway Cast - Susan Egan Terrance Mann
*London Cast
*Australian Cast - Hugh Jackman
*Spanish Cast
*Vienese Cast
*German Cast

Why would one not pine for CARRIE? For those that have heard the music, if is at many times absolutely beautiful.

...and when they first released Drood on CD they had all the endings... I have it here somewhere.

The Civil War - yeah the book may have been weak but those voices were amazing...all I'm left with is country people singing those tunes

The first Drood CD left off some of the cut numbers (Ceylon, Moonfall Quartet) and added all the Datchery and murderer songs (not the lovers, though, which I realize would get long and probably tedious). Then it was released with only a couple of the ending songs, but the others restored. Now both are sadly out of print.

I think that the Carrie solos and duets are mostly quite beautiful, but the group numbers do get quite inane. Still, it would be nice to have a "clean" version of the show.

The Annie revival was recorded. Is it out of print now, too? My CD's come and go so quickly, here.

There was a recording of the Annie revival, Joanna Pacetti and Nell Carter??????????????? WHEN??!!

Also TEACHEROFTHEATRE Liza recorded "All That Jazz" and "My Own Best Friend" for cd. She sang Best friend as a solo for a few shows that's why she recorded it as a solo. You can also find a cd out there of Liza and Chita's live performance of Chicago!

Actually, I have a recording of Liza and Chita's performances in Chicago (the complete show) but it's never been commercially released on CD or in any format.
