What theatre do you think they are aiming for? Maybe the Gerald Schoenfeld after "A Steady Rain" closes. The Nederlander and Broadhusrt are also possibilities. I hope it's not the Broadway Theatre.

This is a pretty huge production, is it not?

I doubt they'll go into the Schoenfeld or Broadhurst. I wouldn't be surprised if it snagged the Marquis (if it's open) or the Broadway. But who the hell knows what theaters will even be vacant by time it comes.

Another vote for the Broadway.

re: Casting notice: Catch me if you can

this is exciting news. I've been wondering when we would hear news of CMIYC's continued life.

This points to the early Spring, does that sound right to you?
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I can't imagine this or "Love Never Dies" are going to be so great with the creative team's split focus, but who knows.

And I'd vote for the Broadway. I'm pretty sure it would be open by next spring.

There's also the Henry Millers Theatre if Bye Bye Biridie doesn't extend.

There's also the Broadhurst Theatre if it's not too small.

"I expect the producers of Shrek to keep it going till the Holiday's."

Maybe a performance on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will help with sales. I want Shrek to have a longer run than Little Mermaid, which really was no good at all.

This show is going to get eaten alive by the NY critics and audiences. Best of luck. I hope they've made plenty of changes.

I highly doubt that.

I vote for the Broadway as well. The Broadhurst is fine, but the show might be too big. Either one would be great though.

I have a feeling ALW will want the Broadhurst for LND since it is prime real estate literally across the street from POTO and since that show is always sold out people could check out LND, or vice versa... though both will probably sellout for awhile no matter how bad or brilliant LND ends up being on Bway.

I HIGHLY doubt ALW would put LND in the Marquis after the very recent WIW debacle there. Plus... I hate the Marquis.

It's not a big production so I don't think it requires a huge stage. After all, the only real piece that looms is the band stand. Nevertheless, this will do better than if First Wives makes it to the NY stage

I have been pretty good with calling closing of shows. So, I'm gonna give a shot with Shrek. I expect the producers of Shrek to keep it going till the Holiday's. After that, I expect it to close in January or February

Really going out on a limb there, huh?

If your predictions are anything like your grammar, I would take your statement with a grain of salt.

Andrew Llyod Webber wanted LND to play at the Neil Simon originally, but then Ragtime booked it.

"I'm sure he'll still get it."

You don't think Ragtime will last very long.

There's also the Belasco Theatre for CMIYC. Lone Star Love had a tryout at the 5th Avenue Theatre as well and it was orginally going to play there. I'm sure the sets for CMIYC could fit there if LSL was suppose to play there.
