On tonights episode of stars in the house they were making comments about Cheyenne needing to come back to broadway. Apparently the magic mike thing (which I was really hoping to see with him) is pretty well done for.
What show should he come back in. If not magic mike I would love to see him take over for Hugh jackman in music man. Or a revival of carousel. I would also think hed do a pretty great Shakespeare in &juliet. Or Gaston in the batb revival. Or that 17 again musical if it materializes. Or Anatoly in chess

I thought he was great in the Secret Garden concert at Lincoln Center back in 2016 but I don't think there will be any secret garden revival coming back to Broadway.

Huge Jackman in broadway is overatted. Its popular becuase it's Huge Jackman. If he is an unknown guy things would be very very different. He can sing good but nothing that special.
Last time i saw Cheyenne was at the New Year concert. He s special guest of Kristen Chenoweth. Let me just say that he s singing only few songs but the entire audiences clap their hands till its hurt. Kristen need to come out and ask him to go away since he s stealing her show. That night is beyond good. Another guest star is Shoshana Bean so you can immagine the magic on that night.
He should get more opportunity. His sexuality should not be a factor to prevent his career but sadly it did. He s also complaint about this.

This is the most moronic statement. Countless gay actors have won awards and for playing straight or gay characters. If he’s not getting jobs, there’s a reason for that. Jim Parsons, an openly gay actor, has won 4 Emmy Awards for playing Sheldon on THE BIG BANG THEORY - a straight character. The days of openly gay actors not being cast in projects are a thing of the past. If Cheyenne can’t get roles, he needs to rethink his tactics as they obviously aren’t working for him. Other gay actors have no problem.

This made me chuckle.
Do we know who’s attached in the Stanley Tucci role in Devil wears Prada? He’d be good in that.

I'd love to see him as Jerry in a Full Monty revival! He sang Breeze Off the River at his concert in Boston this fall and was just fantastic.

He was supposed to be in the Magic Mike musical. Sad how that just fell apart. I would've thoroughly enjoyed seeing him in that show... ![]()

Mario Cantone played/read Nigel in the workshops. He could possibly be interested in taking on the role for Chicago/Broadway.

In my opinion, he's completely wrong for that part. Cantone sounds wonderful!

Really? moronic statement huh? Maybe 'YOU' should do some research before giving any statement that obviously moronic.
Sure, some of them having a successful career. But does that mean, during their career they have not, or never met a situation where their sexulity play an important role for them to lose or have an disadvantage in getting a job? If you ask 10 gay actors, all of the will say yes. Do some reserch about their life and maybe spend time reading some stories that they occur and you will know that sometime it's getting out of their hands. The situation might be a lot better if this issue is not involve. I cant believe there s someone out there dull enough to not realize there is actually this issue going on in the society, wow.

Funny, if the show’s Nigel is anything like Tucci’s - and I hope it would be- I would think Jackson is very right for it. Cantone, not so much.
Victor Garber might also be great
Anyway, back to the question:
Threepenny Opera
High Spirits

I could see him as Clayton actually, the big game hunter.
