One time, I asked Dylis Croman if she'd be interested in the role of Velma Kelly. She mentioned she'd love the opportunity. I'm acquainted with some of the Cellblock tour veterans on social media."
Perfect. Go find out if it’s back for the 20/21 season
1. The current non-equity tour is playing the US until June, then heading over to Asia for the summer and will close out in the US by the end of October. If another union tour is to launch, it would likely be in 2021.
2. Lana Gordon is tied up with another show in Florida at the moment, so I don't think she could replace AFW. I always wonder who they have lined-up next of if AFW extends again. It would be a sin if Emma Pittman gets paired up with AFW.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
The wonderful Charlotte D'Amboise is returning as Roxie Hart, from March 30, 2020 --- July 5, 2020. The producers are sure taking their time to announce Emma Pittman's start date as Roxie.
"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)
Hi all. On this day, March 17, 2011, I saw "Chicago" for the very first time. Prior to that, I hadn't given the show much thought. Since then, I have had the opportunity to see the show 25 times (plus one concert version). Here is a link of the pictures with me at those shows. https://photos.app.goo.gl/1FRdFveGUUG8thH9A

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPtdfojnTb4 This is the fabulous Michele de Jean as Roxie Hart. The video is kind of iffy at times, but her performance is out of this world! I regret that I never had the chance to see her on her return as Roxie in 2018.

Even though that wasn't shot at the Ambassador, that clip definitely warmed my heart. One of my most treasured current Broadway shows and the last one i saw before this awful pandemic. That felt very nice to see the final number again.

James T. Lane was also there. They probably grabbed whoever was available for this.

I don't think it's a recent picture. More than likely, there will be members from the most recent cast.

Can we get Carly Hughes back as Velma, please? At this point, with a few breaks, AFW has been playing Velma for just about half of the show’s run.
"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel
