It'll be interesting to see who they bring in since they're only planning on doing 5 shows a week(excluding holiday weeks). Would Kat McPhee-Foster really be desperate enough to return to Bway in a limited run/reduced schedule? No way it's Megan Hilty. Christian Borle as Billy?

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

5 shows a week may be appealing to a lot of people, considering there aren't salary concessions. Especially someone like Kat McPhee, a new mother.

But I wouldn't read into "bombshell" too much...seems like marketing speak.

It remains to be seen whether or not there will be salary concessions. Most likely scenario is that shows doing fewer than 8 perfs/week will pro-rate production salaries.

I'm excited for the cast announcement. I got tickets for the first Sat. matinee and haven't seen Chicago on Broadway yet, just twice on tour.

You know with the weasels in charge they aren't going to be generous with the money situation

My first thought was a “Blonde Bombshell” and then my mind went to Pamela Anderson.

Here'd be a real bombshell: Jane Krakowski as VELMA with Emma Pittman as Roxie

"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel

I'd love to see Krakowski in anything!

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I'd assume as Roxie, but she can also pull off Velma since it's only 5 shows a week.

I wonder if sales are very good if Chicago would immediately start adding performances?

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

Fingers crossed that the Jane Krakowski rumors are true, I'd love to see her in this! I wonder who they'd pair her with.

Jane Krakowski is amazing! Got to quasi-work with her years ago…during the NINE revival…and she was just the best!

I've noticed several international productions eliminate Mary Sunshine.

Jane Krakowski would be great. I would be so there for a Megan as Roxie and Kat as Velma Chicago also, ngl! Not sure how plausible this is tho. Kat knows the Weisslers from Waitress, but I’m sure Chicago doesn’t pay as well as playing Jenna did. Also she’s just had a new baby so might not want to go back on stage for a while, altho I guess the reduced schedule would help. Megan was meant to be workshopping a new musical right, just before the lockdown? Not sure if that’s still happening, but maybe she’s only interested in originating new shows these days?

I’m hearing Jane Krakowski (Roxie) and Ariana DeBose (Velma).

Ariana deBose was a member of the cast several years ago. She may have been a Velma understudy.

She was never in the revival of CHICAGO in any capacity - either Broadway or tour.

You might be thinking of Gabrielle McClinton (who also was in Pippin)
