I checked the official Chicago the Music website to see if there was any news.  I did manage to find out that there is a limited tour in Britain, beginning Sept. 11th.  https://chicagothemusical.com/international-tour/

Marilu Henner as Roxie - she’s one of my favorites.
I miss the old days when people had 6 or 9 month runs.
It was fun watching Marilu grow in role from her first week to her last performance.

Ps - I’m curious any super old school fans that was at that last performance that also slept out, in the snow, all night in Shubert Alley for rush tickets? Since I’m asking was anyone on here in Bebe’s first last show rush line? That was a two day, but fun as hell, rush.

Chicago is adding back Thursday evening performances for September and October. This brings them up to doing 6 shows a week now until November.

Was there any doubt? I'm just hoping you-know-who isn't reopening the show...

So glad they opened up those Thursdays! Was able to snag some of my favorite first row seats for 9/23!

Yes. She mentioned that on a Stars in the House reunion of Velmas that she has retired.

Based on their IG, Jessica Ernest is back at Go-To-Hell Kitty and Roxie u/s, and Christine Cornish Smith is joining as Hunyak and Velma u/s! (Christine as Velma I'd love to see!)

Christine Cornish...was she in Cats several years ago?  By the way, it would be wonderful if Lillias White does get cast as Mama Morton.  Also, Haley Swindal is an absolutely phenomenal Mama.  She sang Mama's signature song in a Cameo I requested.

Not sure if this has been mentioned here before. But I was fascinated by the footage of what I imagine was Liza's put in rehearsal for Chicago on the recent Golden Age documentary. Maybe it has been around but I have never seen it before. I thought it was the coolest minutes of the documentary.

Further comments on the post heavily implied that it's Chicago.

Villafañe as Velma? I don't know what her dance abilities are, but on paper that could be great casting.

I assume we get a cast announcement tomorrow then, since the cat will get out of the bag otherwise.

As Roxie or Velma, I could see that happening. It would be a fun way to open the show, and show off her comedic chops, especially since she's a lead in the Night Court reboot that's working on its pilot.

Drew Nellessen is making a return to Chicago.  I'm curious as to who the show will have as choreographer.  Maybe it could be Dylis Croman, who worked together with Ann Reinking for many years.

Chicago is going to be performing on Good Morning America on Thursday! I'm sure the big casting announcement is coming!
