Katrina is the only female out, so that's not troubling. But there are five men out for both shows today. Not sure how few New Yorkers they can run with if either Jeff or Nicolas Rodriguez need to go on.

I'm baffled that such a major revival looks as if it won't get a cast recording."
I think the hesitation is that they did a recording for the London cast, which has Patti and is very similar (similar in that it's the same production). I am still MAJORLY holding out hope as I need this cast on a recording, but I would guess that is why they haven't done it yet."
I'm sure this is the case. I'm still bugged, both because a new lead strikes me as warranting a new recording, plus it's the last production/revival Sondheim himself got to observe. History. Plus, you know. I want it. lol"
Hey, I'm 100% with you on this.

If they could record the CSC Assassins they can record this!
I find the London recording almost unlistenable. Too many in that cast sing the songs, conscious of sound, rather than acting the characters believably. I was so relieved that the American cast is loaded with acting talent, not just singing talent. This needs to be recorded for posterity!

The orchestra is much better on Broadway, and the orchestrations have several lovely changes. There are also some lyrical changes. I’ll be devastated if we never get a new recording. I do believe if the production sweeps the Tonys or wins several awards, a cast recording is almost guaranteed.

Was Doyle on yesterday? Have to imagine if he had symptoms yesterday, he would have called out.

The bench is deep with talent at Company- very excited for Nikki today, she's a star in her own right- I remember her Nabalungi a few years ago when Gavin Creel was in Mormon."
I saw her in that same BoM run and she was phenomenal. I’m on the west coast and already have a trip booked for 3 weeks from now, so while I’m mostly glad Katrina should be back by the time I’m there, there’s still some disappointment in missing Nikki.

Really depends if anyone else is out this week, but I'd guess and say Nikki will be Bobbie all week with Britney as Jenny.

Same here! I love that. What a perfect moment to preface TLWL.

Scored a cheap last minute ticket to tonight’s performance - so excited! This is my first time seeing Company live (but obviously not going to be the last). I love me some understudies.

Yes he is. When I purchased my ticket when Simard was Joanne, he was very nice in finding me a good rush seat and very patient.

I don't think that's necessarily the case, I just feel if it does very well at the Tonys there's pretty much no way it won't be recorded. I am shocked as everyone else that it hasn't been yet, but I do think the Covid outbreaks have delayed things a bit too.
If I remember correctly,Anything Goes, with Sutton Foster, recorded their cast album after the Tonys. It won Best Revival and Foster won Best Lead Actress in a musical. I have that cast recording.
