ACL2006 said: "I'm impressed Lenk hasn't missed a show yet. Curious who would be first to go on for her whenever she's on."

She even managed to avoid getting Covid and missing shows when Claybourne Elder got it, and they spend an extended amount of time making out. Impressive honestly.

Heath Saunders went on as Theo today, and they posted a tweet about how they'd be singing Another Hundred People later this month, but didn't give a date. I wonder if they'll also go on as Jamie and make all three of their debuts this month! Any word on how they are as Theo?

I don’t get it either. It seems to be constant. I get that the set is very complex, but we’re not talking about Wicked scale. I would love any input from someone who can explain why this might keep happening with Company’s set.
"

I believe that the rain was warping the stage and throwing off the set transitions and automation.  They've recently removed the effect, so the pauses for technical difficulty should be much less frequent

I finally saw Company this past weekend after originally having tickets for May 2020. This show in one word is perfect. I don't have any original thoughts that someone else on this thread hasn't already said. I feel so lucky to have seen Jennifer Simard as Joanne, she was fantastic, and will be returning in April to see Patti. This was my first Sondheim show where he did both music and lyrics and I am so glad that it was. I very much hope this show has a long and healthy run.

They have released Patti’s entire Ladies Who Lunch. I am not sure when this was filmed but her dress and wig have been updated. The wig looks much better.

I am surprised they released the entire number as it is such a big moment of the show.https://www.instagram.com/tv/Ca2GFbKI1KX/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

This is probably one of the best cast performance vocals I've heard from her in a very long time, particularly in terms of enunciation.  The facial expressions (which sadly a fair percentage of the audience probably don't get to see) really add some layers to the performance.

She didn't sound that well we I saw the show back in early February.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Totally agree about the facial expressions. We were lucky enough to be in the sixth or seventh row for this show a few weeks ago and it added so much being that close and able to see her up close. The entire show and cast is brilliant, and I think it's really cool that they're releasing so much content from it. Would love to see a pro shot of this someday.

That is a Tony winning performance! All we need now is Katrina’s Being Alive and while I’d love the full show recorded at least we have some highlights.

"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022) "Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009) "Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000

I almost think it has to be from 2020 before the shut down. The interactions between her and Katrina during the song are quite different than the 4 times I've seen it since December.

Their interaction and Patti’s interpretation seems in line with what I saw at the end of January. Their chemistry has really evolved over the course of the run. You can also see Katrina’s “drunker” interpretation of the club scene in this clip.

Interesting. I don’t remember them having that big laugh together at all when I’ve seen it. Just has a totally different vibe than my experiences.

Patti is SO hilarious that I wonder how Katrina manages to keep a straight face! But I guess she's used to it? :) :) :)   This is the best video I've seen in a long time. I hope they still do a cast recording,though--I want Katrina's songs,Matt Doyle's Not Getting Married, and Claybourne Elder's Barcelona, along with Patti's songs and everyone else's. I love the whole ensemble just from what I've heard.

She was fantastic tonight. Never would have known she was fresh off Covid. Lots of flowers thrown onstage during her bows, the first bouquet hit her in the head while she was bowing.

Taffy--the second video, from Instagram, was SO funny! Patti's castmates picking up the flowers,Katrina hamming it up,her and Patti holding hands,Christopher Fitzgerald walking Patti back to her place like a gentleman--you can see the love this group of actors have for each other.

It would also be great for a Broadway blooper reel or "Broadway's Funniest Videos".

Would Patti be eligible for best supporting actress or best leading actress since her name is above the title with Katrina's?

She seems to be guaranteed a third tony if she's in best supporting actress.

Went last night - so happy everyone was in! Not sure why Katrina is getting a lot of criticism - I thought she was fantastic. She brought so much life to Bobbie. She felt like a real person, someone that would garner all of those friends. Someone like NPH is a perfect fit for the (original) role but he didn't bring much to it. Patti was fantastic as usual but I did find myself preferring her NYP performance, which felt more vulnerable (plus the drink slosh/toss!).

For the downside - forget the gender swap, I did not connect with this as a modern piece. I am around the age of the characters and people these days (especially in NYC) aren't bugging each other about getting married. I get they tried to pass it off as Bobbie observing marriages and seeing if it's right for her but the dialog IMO grounds it as a more dated piece. Why would the married men in her life be worrying about her being single as they go to bed? Theo stating he will make "a good husband" like it's an occupation/obligation (like it used to be) is a strange line. Who reads magazines anymore? Some areas just didn't work. I still had a great time and I appreciate what they were trying to do and think they did the best they could without editing the book further.

Also it must be said - Jennifer Simard was fantastic. Her deadpan and acting was hilarious. Her and Katrina are the "upgrades" IMO from other versions I've seen. Claybourne Elder was also equally hilarious as Andy. Fantastic job by the cast, no complaints there at all. I do prefer the more neurotic/frantic take on Amy/Jamie but appreciate the presented take.

This is slightly OT,but it still has to do with Company:

I went on the show's Instagram and saw that Brian Clowdus posted a nasty comment. It was in response to a post from yesterday--it was a picture of Matt Doyle and Etai Benson in the wedding scene,in character and kissing. It said #SayGay--a response to that horrible bill in Fla. I'm sure a lot of you here saw the same pic.

Anyway,Clowdus posted that whoever runs the show's Instagram was lying and that he could explain about the bill. It made so mad I just had to vent on the board! He's such an ass.

Anyone won the lotto recently? How hard was it to win? Where have your seats been?

Won the lottery on 3/13 with ORCHO F 10. Just a few instances of not being able to see some of the set from that seat.

A few empty seats around me, surprisingly. It was freezing in there too. Everyone sat with their coats on.

Patti was still showing signs of recovering (a few coughs on stage) but she was joking around with the actors throughout the show onstage and brought the house down with her number.

Nikki Renee Daniels is on for Bobbie both shows today per her Instagram. I'm out of state or I'd be there. If anyone happens to be there today please report back! Hopefully she has more dates in the not so distant future.

I am seeing it again next week. I would like to see Nikki as Bobbie. She's a very talented singer!

The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince
