The worst thing about Westboro is that they are so over the top to the point of being cartoons, that they make everyday people who hold just as offensive positions on race and sexuality (et al) look sane by comparison.

I know your only showing us what they posted bwayto but I'm not sure reposting stuff by the Westboro Baptist Church is the best idea. They are awful people who make inflammatory comments to provoke a response from the public. Reposting there stuff is giving them the attention they cry out for.

The WBC just does this to get attention. They aren't even worth mentioning anymore.
So Lauren Bacall me, anything goes! *wink*

There's nobody and nothing that Westboro doesn't hate. Saying Westboro pulled another repulsive stunt is like saying the sun came up this morning.

Yes, troll, i' sure that's what his friends, family and co-workers are thinking, too.
BTW...is anyone else having problems with this thread? Using Internet Explorer, not only was I unable to bring up the last page, but it wouldn't let me respond. When I tried with Safari -- no problem.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

Odd....it seems to be only happening for THIS thread! Quite peculiar!

His death was apparently caused by alcohol and heroin.

My heart hurts. What went wrong? He just got out of rehab.

Going through a rehab program is not a guarantee of complete recovery from addiction. Monteith had a history of drug abuse.

Addiction is tough. And ugly.
I was truly hoping this wasn't the case, or at the very least, they could point to past use that was the cause.

Obviously it's not surprising, but you could exhibit some sensitivity for such an unfortunate situation.

Me too. It sounds silly to say you were hoping that someone died from a brain aneurysm or something unrelated to addiction.
This just makes it so much worse. I really wonder who his "friends" were who were with him the night before he died. I mean an adult should be responsible for himself... but if someone has a disease, you would like to think that other people look out for them not contribute to the problem. Sad all around.
This is just awful.

No one said that at all. Hoping it wasn't from human weakness is actually a positive thing. His loved ones will be torn between blaming him or themselves for his own death and acceptance. They will constantly wonder what else THEY could have done to prevent it. Having it be something beyond his control, while still tragic, makes it a little easier to accept.
No saying he was with friends. Many people that suffer from addiction, continue to have addicted relationships, little that have to do with friendship. It's also possible he was with strangers that were impressed to be hanging out with a tv personality with no clue to his addiction.

It's unlikely that a group of sober friends sat around, irresponsibly watching him use.
When you're using, there are always plenty of Drug Friends around, ready to hang out and use with you. In my experience, the discussion in these situations rarely lingers on the dangers of addiction.

He danced with that white lady known as heroin. And that dance is a tough one to stop, baby.
Some people make it out, some don't. He got unlucky. Rest in Peace.
