Woo! Woo! Woo! I am actually not much of a Stephanie J. Block fan either, but still, much better than Dee in my personal opinion.

I never much liked the woo at the end no matter who does it. Seems like an uncreative afterthought...kind of a filler.
Come to think of it, I rarely seem to like them before I have purchased tickets to see the performer haha. I detested Alli's Glinda at first, thought her voice was very annoying... bought a ticket, forced myself to listen to her on youtube non-stop, and ta da, I loved her Glinda. Very strange how that works.
Got a ticket today for August 11...will give my $0.02 on Dee that evening...

^You gonna give your 2 cents on Erin also since she is supposedly the new Glinda starting on that night.?
Will give my opinion on both actresses...
Has Erin been officially announced yet?
(I know it seems to be a foregone conclusion, but just wondering if I missed something official).
I don't think so, and I am still sorta hoping it isn't true.

ANYBODY but Erin......... and Kate Reinders.
Her name is banned from this world!!! Stop saying it! Gah... who ever her crack supplier was should be shot. Jeeze.
As a fan of Kate Reinders as Glinda, I will proudly say it. KATE REINDERS.

^Her crack supplier...
She has fans? Hmm. GAH!!! A good Glinda just died at the mention of her name!
Damn TheatreDork, you found out my true identity.
I saw Kate in August 2005 and adored her. She wasn't overly spastic. Her hyperness seemed completely genuine because she was having fun, whereas most other Glindas are forcing it and trying to be funny. Kate brought a lot of depth to the role and her singing was beautiful.

I saw Wicked last night and was pretty much underwhelmed by Dee.
Her voice, I must admit, was strong. Very. However, her stage presence and acting skill were far lower then anything I have ever seen in the show. It was like I could hear her and see her on the stage and yet she still wasn't there. During No Good Deed I started thinking about all my laundry at home I had to do. Her voice is simply not enough.
Haahahaha! That laundry comment was amazing!
It's exactly how I felt, too. Her big voice will only do so much. She's just got zero presence.
hahaha.
UNFORTUNATELY, just the truth.
How long is she contracted for exactly? lol.

That youtube video isn't bad, but it's not amazing. She's just so uninteresting. Even though everyone bigs up her voice I don't think it's that amazing either. It's just the average voice that everyone who plays the role has. The video of Stephanie was a perfect contrast - not only does she actually emote but she could tear Dee a new asshole or two in a sing off.

You didn't miss anything. I said "supposedly".
Would everyone stop with the Dee is boring crap. I find Kevin to be dull as dishwater but I don't go posting it every chance I get.
"^Her crack supplier... "
I lauged hard for a good minuet with that. TheatreDork2, Welcome to BWW. May you have a better joining experience than I did. lol
WithoutATrace, I hope you didn't pay that much for a ticket.
Don't worry, BwayBoundJoe. I didn't.

Well if you want to talk about Kevin being dull, make a thread about it. Considering this is about Dee taking over I'm pretty sure its acceptable to post your opinions about her.
