Posted: 7/5/07 at 10:59amI finally had a chance to listen to it yesterday. I think its going to be my favorite cast album for a long time. I particularly like "Positive" and "Chip on Your Shoulder."

I am slightly addicted to it. But I like "Beacon of Positivity" better than "Positive" kind of sad they replaced it. Wah wah.
I know- I kinda liked "Love and War" better than "Positive" myself.

There were parts of it that I honestly did love and laugh at, but I feel like I'm missing out because I'm not "ZOMG going to see it for the 25th time tomorrow!!" It's an obsession on something 80s that is totally passing me by!

Hee! "Bend and Snap" and "Positive" are my current addictions too. Also "What You Want," which has been mercilessly stuck in my head for a damn long time.
I'll join the club in saying that I'd still love to see Kerry as Elle. That girl is amazing, and I don't care how old she is -- she can still easily read as 22 on stage!
Now I shall sit back and wait patiently for someone to hijack this thread with comments about how Orfeh's songs are amazing "DESPITE the material" and how none of the other singers are even worth listening to.

Posted: 7/5/07 at 12:21pmWhat I most admire about it is that it takes you into the world of the show. I find myself thinking about the characters and how they are responding to the situation(s). And each time I listen to it, I'm amazed more and more at how great the lyrics are.

I agree, Ben. I actually find most of O'Keefe's lyrics very clever. They come at you fast and insist that you listen to them to get what's going on. I like a musical that relies on its songs to tell the story.
I just love that the CD never fails to put a smile on my face.
