The advice to stop reading all the Funny Girl threads is probably good.
I'm a nearly 50 year old man. What's new about celebrity feuds? I know it is usually just manufactured in an effort to make headlines.
I wouldn't classify myself particularly as a fan of Feldstein. I think I just generally feel for the downtrodden, & those who have been treated unfairly.
Beanie made me wonder what would have been like to see Mae West onstage during her heyday? She similarly was a sexy, funny woman with zaftig proportions. Also, not particularly known for her voice.
I also was thinking, I wish I could have learned more about what was happening backstage in the chorus boys' dressing room? It is supposed to be what? 1920's? 30's? Were they all doing cocaine & having Only Fans style orgies?
That might make a more interesting show than all the downer "their marriage is failings because she makes the money" stuff in the second act.
Just imagine: Fanny & Arnstein are in her dressing room. He's all blah blah blah. She has to keep hitting the wall, " Could you boys keep it down in there! I can barely hear my husband speak!"
Next door, all the soldier boys stripped down to their silver jock straps.
I thought they brought Harvey in to rewrite the show? WTF is wrong with him that he couldn't have given us that?
What are the chances that this recoups? It actually sold pretty well for the first few months and even now is holding it’s own during a tough part of the schedule. If it gets the expected bump from Lea and runs through the new year will that be enough? Will it still be remembered as a flop even if technically is a hit? It we be ironic if 2022 was remembered for Funny Girl and Beanie in the same season that gave us Paradise Square.

I… what the… y’all. I don’t… huh? I can’t.
Do people here seriously think Broadway ensemble members collectively partake in constant unprofessional behavior like this?

Itsahopi was incredulous:

Oh, about as much as we believe you can recover from "tonsilitis" in three days.

Since Beanie has been performing at every show, there really hasn't been a reason for Julie to post. After tonight - 8 shows to go for Beanie. For her sake, and any hope of returning to Broadway, she needs to make every performance.
As a side note, Julie's new album is being released on August 26. She has posted a promo on YT. Girl is not letting any grass grow under her feet.
You're right. I had forgotten that Julie posted last weekend, when Beanie had "tonsilitis," so I'm not really sure why this conversation about her not being able to post anymore even started.

The conversation started when we were out feeding the pelicans.
