I want desperately to get my father one of these for his upcoming birthday (mid-March). Is there anyone who would be willing to pick one up for me at the theater and ship it to Utah? PM me if there are any takers.
Ditto for NC.
I ordered this afternoon and everything seems to be fine, they processed the order and i got confirmation saying Awaiting to be shipped.

Ughh... I still can't believe I had one in my "shopping cart" this afternoon then decided to wait and get it and now they are gone.

Still not working for me. You sure you didn't sacrifice a playbill or something?
So I was just on the website and it says
"Temporarily Out-Of-Stock
email Vinyl@Sh-k-boom.com and we will add you to a list to alert you when more become available!"
So are they pressing more? or Are they stealing a bunch back from the theatre to fill the online demand?

Has anyone found any on eBay yet?
I bought two of them, just in case they ran out quickly. They arrived yesterday and are wonderful! I just got the songs onto my iPod and away the originals go for safe keeping! I too hope they don't repress. What is the point of charging $50 for a limited edition if in fact they aren't going to be limited editions?

Um, because there Lps and not pressed everday? I don't care about the "limited"-ness of them, I just want one.
The fact that they were marketed as limited editions and numbers would lead one to believe that this it. I won't be pleased if suddenly there are 5000 of these being pressed and sold.
I am kicking myself for not ordering it when it was announced!

I suppose that if someones willing to pay it! More Power to them. I know I could never afford it. It seems crazy but I'm sure someone will buy it. There are some crazy broadway fans out there. I've learned in my life it seems there is always someone willing to pay crazy amounts for stuff if they want it bad enough.
I went back to the show the other night... with my record in hand and I swear there was this one girl who looked at me like she was going to kill me for it. She went on and on about how jealous she was that i had it.
Oh and for a note... I'm not sure anyone has mentioned it. I did ask about the record if they had any more and they said that they were completely gone.
I'm not sure why they didn't print more. Comeon we all knew people would go ape $h!t for them!!!!! Plus it was for a charity I don't know why you wouldn't want more for more money for a good cause.
FYI...I was in Target yesterday and in their frame department, they sell a frame especially made for records. I bought one from my Drowsy vinyl. It was only $9.99. The one that I linked online is apparently silver but the one I bought in the store is black.
LP Frame
I was planning on going to buy one at the theatre, and ask if I could pick one up for anybody else on this board tonight. Can anyone confirm that they are really all gone from the theatre?

Wow, glad I bought when I did - I held off for a while, wasn't sure I wanted to spend the money, but I deccided to get two - one to open and play, the other to put away.

yes pianoman, but remember, you have also now deprived someone else of getting one...esp. considering if you rip the CD to your computer, and replace it in it's sleeve, you can hear the stuff on the LP without ever having to put in on the record player, so it remains mint.

I went up to the theatre on Wednesday night as soon as they opened the doors at around 7:15 (right after I lost the drawing ) and I got one... #289.
I went wed and they were all gone!
Really?? What time were you there? I guess I cut it pretty close.
I went to the theater right before the matinee on wednesday and was able to pick up two (294 and 295)
I just got mine in the mail yesterday. #408. Very cool.

Well, I had to buy online because I'm from Brazil and mine is #484.
I thought all of them would be signed. But I think just a few of them were, right? I guess the ones selling at the theater... Well, anyway, it's great =D
