I apologize if there is another board for this, but what are some of the easier rushes to go to?
My friend and I would like to try to get rush tickets to a Wednesday matinee show, but I know he wouldn't want to wait in line more than 30 minutes before the box office opens. I also read that some shows don't offer Wednesday matinee rush tickets, how can I be sure if a show will offer them?
Thank you for the help!

www.broadwayforbrokepeople.com should tell you which shows have rushes and on what days they have shows. I think every show that has a rush and a matinee on Wednesday will have a rush for that as well.
As for easy rushes, I can’t imagine Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is very hard at that time (though, considering the reviews on this thread, I’m not sure you’d want to see that). Waitress and Anastasia might work too, but I’m not too sure.
However, you could also just go by yourself and pick up two tickets. Each person is allowed to buy two tickets, so your friend doesn’t have to go with you if you want to see shows that have harder rushes.

My first thought too, but they don’t have a Wednesday matinee.

It looks like they're will be a Wednesday matinee the Wednesday I am in town! I'm marking this as a possibility.
Would A Bronx Tale, Junk or M. Butterfly be worth it to rush?

Haven’t heard anything good about M. Butterfly, unfortunately. A Bronx Tale seems to be popular enough to be running this long, so I’m sure it’s not god awful, lol. Not too sure on Junk, but you may want to search up the reviews for each of these on this board to cross check and see what’s to your liking.

I think A Bronx Tale is easy. I've heard that folks have walked up in the middle of the day to get tickets, but of course getting there beforehand is a much safer bet.
I can't imagine Junk would be a tough ticket either, but I agree that you should make sure you'd be into it. I loved the show, but reception is pretty mixed across the board.
Also, if you're quick enough and he's doing a matinee that day, you could try Latin History for Morons mobile rush.

I know I’m in the minority, but I loved M. Butterfly and I thought the rush was one of the best deals I’ve gotten lately.

Miss Saigon is definitely an easy one. People can literally show up a few hours before show and get their tickets without standing in any line. I wasn't aware of that so I got there at 11am on September 30th and got 4th row of Orchestra. They even ask you if you want a restricted or full view tickets (39$ and 48$).

That's not correct. They do 2 shows every Wednesday. Perhaps the week.you.looked at was a holiday week.

Tonight (Friday) I got rush tickets to A Clockwork Orange at 15 minutes til curtain and my vets were fifth row center!

OP, to answer your question about Bronx Tale, it is (in my opinion) definitely worth it to rush! Adam Kaplan just stepped into the lead role this week, so I don't know if that's affected the ease of attaining rush tickets at all, but as of last week, it was definitely possible to get rush tickets even after the box office opened, especially on weekdays!

Why not just tell your lazy friend to stay at the hotel while you go wait on the line for as long as is needed?

Huh, well I guess they must have changed it at some point. The 7:00 start time was one of the reasons I rushed it after I rushed Groundhog Day.

Play That Goes Wrong originally had one show on Wednesday and two shows on Sunday, but they switched to the "traditional" schedule after the cast change! So yes, they will have matinee and evening performances on Wednesdays!
Update: I convinced my friend to enter the Once on this Island lottery with me. If we don't win that, we will try for The Play That Goes Wrong! Thank you!
I want to rush a show November 24, but not so keen about waking up really early. I want to rush either Miss Saigon or The band's visit. What time would I have to get there for either one?

You're definitely much safer rushing Miss Saigon. Other folks on here have noted that it's a pretty easy rush at this point - you'd be okay getting there at 10. With all of the raves The Band's Visit has gotten after opening, you'd probably have to get there before sunrise.

You forget that this is a holiday Friday so I wouldn't be so quick on the 10AM draw.

Oh, okay. Thanks for the update, lol.
In that case, OP, I would heartily recommend The Play That Goes Wrong if Once on this Island doesn’t pan out!
thebookofwhizzer, you are much more likely to get Miss Saigon later in the day than The Band’s Visit later in the day- even with it being a holiday, I think. The Band’s Visit was having people line up starting at 7:00am in previews. Now that’s it’s open, I imagine the line is starting to get longer.
