I am not a Mean Girls fan at all, but Erika is beyond talented, and such a sweetheart. She has been playing Cady for SO long. I hope she takes a well-deserved break before starting a new project. I know it is probably not going to happen, but I would LOVE it if Tee Boyich came back to be Cady.
I also wished Tee Boyich would return to the show. I wonder what's next for Erika besides a well-deserved break. I think she'd be a fantastic Anna in Frozen.

I don’t think they can stunt cast Cady for two reasons. The first is that the actress playing her has to do the most heavy pushing, and the second is despite that, Cady’s still a pretty thankless role.
Anyway, I’m not a fan of this show, but I like Henningsen and hope she gets some good parts in the future.
Stunt casting Cady won't happen - the role is too vocally challenging. It's set in a very weird part of the voice.
Roles they can believably stunt cast - Aaron, The Adult Woman track, Mr. Duvall, even possibly Karen and Damian.

Not stunt cast but--Christy Altomare.

I love Christy, but I think she’s too old to play a junior in high school. Yes, a lot of the cast is older, but I think she would just look out of place.

Yes, but Karen is a caricature who wears more makeup than a clown. Kate’s great genetics in combination with the fact that she can wear a ton of make up to give the appearance of youth allows her to of not age out of Karen. On top of that if she reads old on stage it can be easily explained by Karen having an IQ on par with a preschooler causing her to be left back....multiple years. Cady on the other hand is supposed to go from a girl who barely knows what make up is, let alone wears any, to a plastic and then some happy medium. Yes a “natural” look still requires some make up, but there’s only so much it can do.
I would also agree with the sentiment that Cady along with Regina will likely not be stunt cast unless producers literally find a perfect match. The only stunt casting I could actually see for Cady, which I would find hilarious and buy a ticket just to see if its a trainwreck would be Ali Lohan (Lindsay’s younger sister).
Just caught the tour in Chicago and the girl playing Cady (Danielle Wade) is fantastic and totally gave me Christy Altmore vibes - either would bee good. Also, FWIW, the slight changes they've made to the tour (It Roars, Fearless) really crystalize Cady as the lead, protagonist and make Regina a strong supporting character.

Danielle Wade started as the standby Cady/Janis/Adult Woman standby. I think it's unlikely that she'd come back to Broadway, but who knows?
She was my favorite part of the show along with Kate Rockwell. She’s going to do great things after this show! And yes, she would be a perfect Anna replacement.
A friend from Mean Girls told me she's doing a new Broadway musical this season. Everything else seems to be cast except Flying Over Sunset, I think? Unless another show is trying to make it in.
