I found this audio on youtube of her singing the wizard and I. She's amazing! Hopefully she does the role eventually, either on broadway or the movie...

There I fixed it for you.
Evidence of what?
She looks AND sounds like Idina Menzel...omg.
There's a video of Raul Esparza singing 'Defying Gravity' and sounding amazing, too... clearly, he too will someday star in Wicked.
I can't wait to see Alice Ripley as Sweeney Todd!

I didn't realize stutter girl was in Spring Awakening. That's what I got from the video.

IMO her voice isn't as big as people think. She sounds like she's yelling near the end.

I'm not even kidding, I would pay FREAKIN' good money to see Raúl as Elphaba and John Barrowman as Glinda in a genderswitch Wicked. Someone make it happen!
Cool Kad, I was just throwing out there as you didn't mention it in your post. :)
How does it being from Seth's Chatterbox make it less evidential? We don't even know where this recording of Lea is from. Perhaps she sang it in Ryan's Chatterbox.

I slightly impressed but unless Glee goes off the air (happy thought) she won't be Defying Gravity anytime soon.
I was never crazy about Lea's voice or acting. I wouldn't be surprised because of Glee if the producers of the Wicked film cast her in the movie. As much as I hate to say this it would be pretty smart marketing move to go with Michele. I just hope if they use her, they don't auto tune her.
The OP said that they thought she was good singing the song and wants her to, not that she will. Her voice is good, but for Elphaba, it's a little to (for lack of a better word) soft. Wouldn't mind if she did though.

She looks and sounds more like a Nessarose, IMO.
'Evidence' is exactly the right word to describe this crime-in-the-making. I do wonder if somehow the Glee producers can digitally tweak her not-quite-there vocals if she went into Wicked as well. The thought is just yawnerrefic.
She's bland and has a rabid fan following, making her the perfect choice to step into a show like Wicked. Bleh.
Oh, and if you haven't already figured it out, I think Lea's horribly overrated: I enjoy spending my free time listening to Cheno's guest spot on GLEE, absolutely trouncing Michele's poor excuse for vocals and again showing how a truly trained singer gets the job done.

I sang "Frank Mills" in front of my computer the other day. This is evidence I'm going to be in Hair! I can't wait!
