Yeah, the Broadway version is technically an evolution of the West End version and you can definitely see some of the ways that Mayer carried over or evolved his direction, but the physical production is totally different on Broadway.
Looking for someone who is going and would be willing to snag me one as well. Happy to pay and also buy you a coffee as a thank you. I do not live in the city.
I know they teased it as a much bigger announcement but my god the Funny Girl fans on social media are awful. "That's their announcement?" "We want a proshot!" "So what about international fans?" Like yes, you don't get anything in the West End either so obviously you can complain about this.
Thank God a lot of you aren't on Twitter or something to see how demanding, rude and selfish they are.

I deactivated mine last month! I don't miss it one bit! I had to leave that toxic environment behind! People on there are just nasty!
The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince
Honestly thought it was going to be a tour announcement.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

You're very smart. The toxic environment there....the way fans react to things...it's awful. I need to but I can't stay away I just end up downloading it again!

I’m not saying it won’t happen but these people are still in the general area of THOUSANDS of unmasked people every single day both in and out of the theater. And if I had to choose between being around 1000 people at an event for a Broadway show or an event supporting the GOP, I’d feel a bit safer in the Broadway setting, with full faith the majority of them had been vaccinated.
Also, odds are they’ll be masked during the event (or maybe not, who knows) but I’d imagine they’re all ok with it if they’re participating.

Oh, I know, I was just being flip. However, if they are all masked, how do we know it is REALLY Lea? I could be Julie!

I downloaded an alternative to Twitter that is much much safer! It's called Mastodon. It looks like Twitter but it's a safer space to be in. They don't tolerate the toxic crap that comes from Twitter. It really needs proper recognition!

It was a fabulous afternoon. Lea, Ramin, Tovah, Jared: all wonderful, gracious, kept the crowd moving but took the time to talk to everyone. The CD looks beautiful with the four signatures! I'll cherish it.
How sad this person’s life must be for them to attend a celebratory event to shoot a video insulting someone just so they could feel gratification from counting how many views and likes they get on TikTok. She handled it like a pro.
With all due respect, Lea has poked fun at the reading implication numerous times. She’s fully aware of the gossip surrounding her and obviously has made her peace with all of it instead of taking it personal. That’s how you move on with your life.
