One night at Encores--Sweet Adeline, I believe--I saw both Betty Comden and Kitty Carlisle Hart.
THAT was New York.
I peed next to Bob Fosse at the old Broadway Arts rehearsal studios, cigarette dangling from his lips as he stood at the urinal, deep in thought, but I've told that story before.
Who I saw at a Broadway Show: Sidney Poitier (Lion King) Mrs. C from Happy Days - Marion Ross (Kiss of the Spiderwoman) Harvey Fierstein (Grease) Tracey Uhlmann - (Spring Awakening) Jeffrey Katz of Avenue Q (Wedding Singer) Rosie O'Donnel (Spring Awakening)
"You will understand that Bww is a forum that allows Theatre people, Fussy old Queens, and chorus boys of Mama Mia to release their everyday life's frustration by being Snarky, B**chy, and sarcastic."

At a preview of Wicked in London, I sat behind some people who I later found out were the cast High School Musical. I did wonder why all these American kids kept wandering up and asking them for their autograph, but I was just happy the guy with the afro wasn't directly in front of me...

Saw George Takei at The Viewing Room in London (it was press night, I was expecting more people). Felt kinda bad for him though as he wasn't allowed in the VIP area
I caught Mel Brooks and Don Rickles at the last preview performance of NOVEMBER as I was waiting for Nathan and Co., at that SAME performance, I sat 3-4 rows in front of Marian Seldes (whom I later 'bumped' into - hehe!) I was making my way to the exit and she was all, "Excuse me." to which I gladly stepped aside, she smiled and nodded thankfully, and LASTLY at that SAME performance, I was oodles and oodles of rows in front of him, but I heard rumblings that he was in the house - later proven by his posts elsewhere - "Ross" from FRIENDS, Mr. David Schwimmer, ladies and gents! Quite an eventful evening!
Not necessarily famous, but Julia Murney was at the matinee of A Chorus Line last Wednesday.

I chose, and my world was shaken- So what? The choice may have been mistaken,
The choosing was not...

Bob Hope who entered with a lot of hoopla at City of Angels, as they were holding the curtain for him, and he took a bow in the aisle. Then he disappeared at intermission. Guess he didn't like it?
Carol Channing at a Joan Rivers performance of Broadway Bound. She started a standing ovation for Ms. Rivers. (which, I felt very surprisingly was deserved).
Liza Minelli at The Life, the night after it didn't win the Tony. As planned, after the show, she was hoisted onto the stage, her accompaniest rolled on a piano and she did several numbers, and the cast joined her in a couple others. When we arrrived at Joe Allen's nearly an hour late, the host said, "well, you've had quite a night haven't you?" News travels fast.
