ILoveMyDictionary - Are you talking about Henry Winkler, Tom Bosely, or Ron Howard maybe? There so many!
"I'm tellin' you, the only times I really feel the presence of God are when I'm having sex and during a great Broadway musical." - Nathan Lane - Jeffrey
I got to meet David Hasselhoff when I saw "Spelling Bee" last summer. I even got his phone number because he happens to be good friends with my voice teacher!
Joan Rivers sat behind me and my family when I saw "1776". She was directly behind my brother and kept whispering quips to him like, "I wonder how it's going to end?"
They are all from a while ago but I've seen Scott Wolf and Soleil Moon Frye at Side Man, James Earl Jones at some play that I have blocked out of my mind becuase it was soo bad, David Canary of All my Children at Ragtime, Joey McIntyre at Saturday Night Fever,Anthony Rapp at Footloose, Danny Pintaro at Ice Man Cometh,.. those are the ones that I can remember off hand.. I know there have been a few others some who I knew by face but not by name.
Oooh, it's always fun to see famous people at B'way shows...John Malkovich, David Schwimmer (at Three Days of Rain), Gloria Steinem (still looking great). My favorites were having Liam Neeson sitting a few seats away from me while watching Alan Bates and Frank Langella act their hearts out in Fortune's Fool (I think they were all nominated for Tonys that year); checking out the devastatingly handsome Clive Owens at Nathan Lane's play Dedication, and a really fun one: my daughter and I attended the very first performance of Rabbit Hole and I joked that all the other Sex and the City women would show up to cheer on Cynthia Nixon. Well, okay it turned out to be just Kristin Davis, but she looked great! The absolute best ever, though, was last year at a not-very-publicized live performance of two radio plays by Charlie Kaufman and the Coen Brothers called "Theater of the New Ear" at St. Ann's Warehouse in Brooklyn which was amazing but not a lot of people seemed to know about it. The scene in the lobby was like a red carpet: we talked to Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Peter Dinklage, Hope Davis, Charlie Kaufman, the Coens, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, and John Slattery--all of whom were part of it--and Frances McDormand, Sam Rockwell and Nicole Kidman, who were in the audience. Kidman was so dazzling up close that my daughter, who also collected everyone's autograph, could barely get out a word, but she was genuinely kind and friendly to us, as were the rest of them. I got to be a cool mom for a while after taking her to that one!
"People that excel in the arts understand that the journey is the reward...the result an added bonus. Every day I act or train is a blessing and a dream come true. If Broadway beckons so be it. I have a personal definition of success that is unshakable by a possibly unobtainable goal." -HamletWasBipolar
Kevin Bacon at Red Light Winter last Tuesday!! Two rows in front of me.
"I thought that that was just going to be a like one shot deal for me, you know, but they kept talking about it like, 'when we do the production, when we do the production', and I was like, 'yes, yes, when you do the production, cool, I will come and see it'". - John Gallagher Jr. on SA
Allison Fischer and her BF, whose name i can't remember, but i remember he was in Les Miz, were at The Wedding Singer last Wednesday next to me, they were delightful, and David Hasselhoff was at the same show on Tuesday night.
"People have their opinions and that doesn't mean that their opinions are wrong or right. I just take it with a grain of salt because opinions are like as*holes, everyone has one".
-Felicia Finley-
I saw Lenny Kravitz at THE BOY FROM OZ, the Saturday before closing, Fred Willard at WICKED, and when I was doing THE AWESOME 80s PROM - Rain Pryor came.
And if she'll say, "My darling, I'm yours!" I'll throw away my striped tie and my best pressed tweed, all I really need is the girl...
I saw Phillip Seymour Hoffman last Sunday at the second to last performance of Three Days of Rain. I saw Constatine from American Idol at Wicked at the Pantages in LA, but I'm not sure I'd consider him famous.
The rumor going around when I saw Wicked in October of 2004 was that Idina's parents were seated right in front of me. It seemed credible, seeing as Taye Diggs was also right in front of me as well. And if it helps, I was seated in Jennifer Thompson's four personal house seats, so I assume that they would either be in front or, in this case, behind Idina's. Okay, I'm just going to stop now -- I sound like a damn BABBLER.

I chose, and my world was shaken- So what? The choice may have been mistaken,
The choosing was not...

"And when Idina Menzel is singing, I'm always slightly worried that her teeth are going to jump out of her mouth and chase me." - Schmerg_the_Impaler
The Govenor of New Jersey sat next to my father during the Wicked tour. Also, when I saw Phantom with my school in New York, Micheal Balton sat two rows in front of us.
"a friend of mine sat next to tom hanks at fiddler on the roof. "
That was on December 19th, 2004. I was at the same performance!
