Who is your favorite Phantom? Just out of curiosity. I usually don't post things like this but, what the heck, I'm bored.
I go with Michael Crawford all the way.
Michael Crawford.
Then, Hugh Panaro.
wasn't there a thread about this not too long ago? I could be crazy this just seems really familiar lol. Definitly Howard McGillin for me!

I love Howard McGillin, but haven't heard his phantom. I'd have to say Gary Mauer. He was on the national tour and i think still is

I liked Brad Little the best. My second favorite was Thomas James O'Leary.
I loved Howard McGillin. He was the only person in the show who really impressed me when I saw it.
Michael Crawford
Having seen every actor who's worn the mask on Broadway (and beyond), it's still no contest. Mr. Michael Crawford, his passionate and heartbreaking creation stands above them all!
Of the ones I've seen, Hugh Panaro was the best vocally. I enjoy parts of Crawford's performance, however his voice is not my cup of tea. I can understand why people love him in this role.

I cannot stand listening to Crawford on the cast recording but my favourite Phantom is probably a tie between Simon Bowman and John Owen Jones.
I would have to say Hugh... something about his preformance just amazed me.
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofuHugh Panaro and Ethan Freeman. And I have a feeling John Cudia will be on that list in about two weeks. I've only heard great reviews.
