It's funny how a lot of the shows I don't really care for have excellent artwork, and a lot of the shows that I love have terrible artwork.
Some of my Favorite Artwork:
Some of my Least Favorites:
The Wicked one actually bugs me for one reason... Glinda wears a crown, not a witches hat... while the pictures shows a witches hat. I don't know why this bugs me so much haha.
I feel like a thread like this exists but couldn't find it searching. Ah, well.

I really loved the artwork Next to Normal had at Arena Stage.

I can not stand N2N's current artwork.
PS, I love your new avatar, GTG22!!!! It's so adorable.
Thanks, Jazzy. I'm none too fond of Next to Normal's Broadway artwork, either. But I think my least favorite of all time has to be the artwork for LuPone Gypsy. As a matter of fact, the production as a whole...well, nevermind.

I LOVE the Sister Act artwork (I don't know why I'm obsessed with this cartoony look).
I feel like the old artwork for N2N doesn't really scream out ROCK musical, however. For some reason in my opinion, it doesn't go with the whole "image" of the show.
I loved the artwork for the 2008 revival of SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE
And Jazzy, I love the SISTER ACT artwork too! I haven't even seen the show, but it seems like it fits the spirit of it so well.
I LOVE The Sweeney Todd artwork.
Are those 2 left eyes? That wouldn't make the face complete would it?
Reply to Sweeney Artwork:
When I was little I always thought Mrs. Lovett and Sweeney Todd were bloody cats.
I've seen Sweeney from the original art work on a CD case sans the razor and colored in.

I never understood why they used a blonde woman for the artwork. It looks nothing like Alice Ripley.
My favorite part about the Sister Act artwork is the thug sitting in the bottom right corner.
Also, why isn't the table set for 4 in the Arena artwork? Diana always sets it for 4 people.
Whoever made it OBVIOUSLY has never seen the show.

It kinda looks like there's a 4th plate, no? Maybe I'm just seeing things.
No, there are definitely four place settings. Look at the forks. They're all to the left of the plates, you just can't see the last one because it's cut off. If you look in the lower left hand corner you can see a third fork, which means there would be another plate.
Wicked's art work is good and bad. The fact that it makes the an impression of mystery is great but since when did Galinda wear a pointy white which had? Makes no sense... When it went to London it just got worse from there.

Are people seriously upset that Glinda wears a hat in the WICKED artwork? Big deal. Tracy doesn't have blue hair in HAIRSPRAY, Alice Ripley doesn't have purple eyes in NEXT TO NORMAL. It's artwork, not a production photo. It doesn't have to be an exact representation of the show's design.
And, of course, the mother of all suckish logos:
Oh wow! I see the 4th now. For some reason I was assuming each person would sit on each side.
Love me some Caroline, though.

It doesn't ruin the show mind you, but Elphaba's costume is correctly shown in the artwork but G's is not. It's just balance. Tracy's blue hair or Alice's eyes are shown but that kind of exaggeration works with out have something to counterbalance it.
