For anybody going to the previews. If you happen to be sitting in section 201 or just bored waiting for the show to start, can you tell me how bad my seat is in section 435? It is the section right next to 201. I am on row F, which maybe only three or 4 rows up from the floor, aisle seat, closest to section 201. I would think if it was obstructed or partial view, Telecharge or the show site would have said so. I live out of town and if possible, that crappy, get Telecharge to change my seat. Thanks.
I have seen many Broadway shows And continue to given that I live in the city, and Fun Home is by far one of the best! I recommend it with everyone i know!
I’d like to think I have a wide range of shows I enjoy and am truly open to any “style,” but a few more recent favorites include “Matilda,” “Hamilton,” “The Drowsy Chaperone,” “Billy Elliot,” “Bridges,” and “Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812” (off the top of my head). If pressed for my ultimate favorite musical, it would probably be “Into the Woods” (with a few other Sondheim musicals in the top 10).
However, I do think that “Fun Home” is a universally great show – not a show that only people who enjoy a certain kind of theatre would like. There are certainly shows that I think definitely appeal to different groups of people more than others, but, for me, “Fun Home” is not one of those. It’s just a genuinely great, beautiful musical, which is why I would recommend it to anyone.
Myktor, If you are talking about Telecharge, I have more confidence in the opinion of someone who has actually been in the theatre vs a salesperson who will tell me anything to get me off the phone, any day.
Well, a salesperson from Telecharge called me out of the blue the other day to tell me that my seat has an obstructed view, and they offered me an exchange. If they haven't called you, that might mean your seat is fine, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
Honey, I have a ton of stressful things in my life, but my Fun Home ticket isn't one of them. If I lived in the city, I would just go to the theater. But since I live in Florida that isn't going to happen. Note: Previous poster's message has been edited, since my original response.
