Oh, btw, the logo is now a house...
and the website is live: http://funhomebroadway.com
And they prominently link to the existing Cast Album on the website, which I'll let others read into as much as they want...
I really didn't give this show much thought when it first opened, but given the reception it's gotten and the really unique story, I actually want to see it now. Ironically, I had just learned about the "Bechdel test" in a film history class and didn't make the connection until fairly recently...

Do you think having it staged in the round will take away from what it was at the public?
No. That's crazy.

Make sure they teach you what "ironically" means in one of your other classes.
^ Don'tcha think?
I don't think having it staged in a proscenium house greatly enhances the material.
My apologies for the misused word, gentleman.
Isn't the "fun home" the title refers to a funeral home? Why does the logo look like a house?
It's about a family, particularly the relationship between the father and daughter pictured. And don't most funeral homes LOOK like houses?
The set is mostly the family's home. Fun Home can mean a whole lot of things, which it absolutely does in this show.
Very intrigued that they are doing this in the round. I wonder what motivated them to set the stage up like that. I’m sure they, obviously, know how they will adapt the staging, but I’m wondering, specifically, about two moments: First, one of my favorite moments was the big reveal of the house when Alison first brings Joan home and I wonder if there will be any way to replicate the awe that came with seeing the full space. Second is “Telephone Wire,” where I loved the stillness with Alison and Bruce just facing forward. The only way in which I can see them doing this without one side of the audience only seeing their backs the whole time is by having them on some sort of a turntable that is slowly spinning, but that seems like it could really take away from the number (for me).
Regardless, can’t wait to see this. Will be snatching up tickets for 2 nights when I visit NYC in June.
It will be interesting to see the changes. Presumably the staging this time around will be just as brilliant as last time.
Was Emily Skeggs the understudy to Medium Allison that took over the role when whats-her-face left?

^ Yes. Emily took over for Alexandra. She's excellent.
SO excited that Sydney Lucas is transferring with the production!
I didn't get the chance to see Socha as Medium Allison and wasn't overly impressed with Skeggs. I know Socha left abruptly, any insight as to why she left (or was dismissed) and isn't joining the production on Broadway?
The only info is that she left for "personal reasons".
Thrilled to see almost all of the cast back – especially Sydney Lucas. She was marvelous in the role and I can’t wait to see her in it again. And, although I didn’t see her in it, I remember hearing great things about Emily Skeggs, so I’m excited to see her in the role, as well.
Just bought front-row tickets for one of the performances I will be attending. So excited!
Im excited, even though I knew most of the cast was transferring (audtions only included the two brothers), but now it's official. I still don't know what the best seats are though.
Before The River the other night, I was looking around thinking about Fun Home seating and, after my second time seeing in at the Public from much further back, it seemed like nearly any seat at Circle might be closer. And, based on the way they seem to be selling/holding for premium, it is probably similar to the River, where those seats in the rounded section, and off those front corners of the stage would be best.
Yeah, I saw Fun Home in the front row center at the Public and it was perfect. Not too close or anything. I guess I will do front row again.
Thanks, sweets.

Really?
Hate, Namo, Drama, I'm going in today, is opening night a bad idea?
Not a bad idea... but tickets aren't on sale for that night.
