I'm sorry, but what does this mean? Is there a word or letters missing?

Not seeing this for a few weeks- but these first impressions are all over the place. And here I thought Sunset was divisive.

Lots of new dance arrangements. A new intro to Small World I’ve never heard before.
They used the dance break for You’ll Never Get Away From Me, I believe from the Lansbury revival. It wasn’t needed.

This intrigues me, because I remember the big article a few months back all about restoring the original full orchestrations for the first time in total... but I guess they never said if that included original dance arrangements (by John Kander no less--who is credited here?) I just assumed it would.

They're all over the place but also people are sharing opinions like it's a finished product after seeing one half of the first performance. Whatever the first impression of the show is, obviously it's going to get better.
Oh boy! Here comes my favorite part of the preview period for a high profile production!! The opinions that range from "the most glorious, stunning, beautiful thing ever" to "a total abomination, an atrocious pile of garbage, and a crime against humanity."
This is gonna be a long preview period on this board isn't it?

My favorite part is when all the positive comments are dismissed because people who go to early previews are just hyped up and will like anything, and all the negative comments are dismissed because everyone on BroadwayWorld is so negative and hates everything.
And endless invocations of the word "shill."
Why break with tradition though, right?

I hope some of you realize that a lot of the people on here posting reviews were not there. It always happens. Some people are full of it.
As a 21 year veteran of this site: my favorite responses are from those who show up here on the night of the first preview to scold everyone for posting qualitative takes … on a first preview. If the idea of sharing an initial reaction feels ethically wrong, why pore over these posts? Why not stay away?

Seeing it on Saturday, can’t wait!
For somebody who was there tonight - are they doing the BCEFA thing? Any chance I’ll be able to buy a signed window card?
So this looks like Megan Vs Nicole for the Tony award ?

Wait, now Audra is out of the running? Lmao
Act 2 was better bur it really needs to find its footing. I think it can get there.
Gimmick was electrifying. Lesli Margherita Could be nominated for this. Reminds me of Jen Simards hilarious scene stealing performance in Company.
Small World reprise back. Dressing room scene too rushed. Audra nailed Rose’s Turn!

Gypsy is one of my all-time shows, so I take no joy in saying this: that was not great. Audra is fundamentally miscast and isn’t helped by a pretty ugly, dull physical production. Tonight’s show ran very long and of course that’s to be expected with a first preview, but I have no desire to revisit this production later on.
Looking at the released side orch seats during previews - would anything major be missed?
Thanks in advance!

Maybe. She’s entirely miscast. And yes: I’m aware that I’m saying this about Audra McDonald.

To those there tonight did anyone play Rose's father? If not how did some people work.

First reviews are pure whiplash. That usually means the show is middling. Ugh
Where does Audra make her first entrance? Left aisle as in some past GYPSY productions?
How’s Danny? Facial hair or no facial hair? (He’s handsome either way.)
How is the ending handled after “Rose’s Turn”? Does Louise reconcile with Rose, does she walk out on her, or is this moment up for audience interpretation?
Maybe it's true and only those directed by Arthur Laurents could win a Tony for playing Rose.

Can someone who saw it tonight please report current run time? Under 3 hours

I am so sorry but this physical production is uglier than Funny Girl. And I mean UGLY. I’m not sure how you manage to even make the ROSE sign ugly, but they’ve done it. And when Baby June steals the entire show, it’s a problem. I’ve been very candid about my skepticism of this casting and I went in hoping to be proven wrong. I was not. She’s clearly still finding her footing in the character, but there are fundamentals that just don’t work and it starts with her voice. Audra McDonald is a legend, but not everyone is meant to play every role. Unfortunately, this is one of those instances.

Impossible to tell. The hold in the middle of Act 1 was at least 10 minutes and the intermission was 35.
