I like the more acoustic vibe on this album. Simple, great songs... that are well sung. I think it's beautiful.

@jazz the acoustic vibe on this is really beautiful. lyrically it's a much more depressing feel compared to goodtimenation, but not everything in life is lollipops and butterflies. i looove it. bravo gavin.

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

I got it this morning and I love it. "Love Fell Down" sounds amazing. Although I am bummed he didn't record the "Hallelujah" half of "Anything at All."

I mainly just really wanted Holding! It's such an amazing song, and I was so looking forward to hearing it properly recorded
But I'm really not complaining, because the EP is still super stunning :) And I'm still seriously, seriously swooning over Small Words <3

There is no good reason that "Holding" isn't on this CD. How upsetting.

I can think of a very good reason why "Holding" is not included, though I do love the song. "Holding" is a bit angry, and the vibe of the EP is dreamy and wistful. It doesn't really fit with everything else.
"Lonesome" is my favorite Gavin song ever, so I'm thrilled that it's on there, and I'm in love with "Small Words," which I'd never heard before.
I can't wait to force everyone I know to listen to it. :)

Yeah, that's what I figure too. Holding is so amazing, but it IS kind of dark and intense, and though there are certainly some sad songs on the EP, they're all pretty mellow and light in sound.
But yeah, Gavin just needs to make another FULL CD, that includes Holding on it! He has too much amazing music that's not yet studio recorded! :P
