Hey y’all. Does anyone else find it strange that GNAGL starts previews in a little over a month and still no announcement on cast/creative team? Not even a marquee. I thought that as soon as Back To The Future closed, that marquee would go up right away to generate buzz. Just curious if anyone has heard any rumors? I watched the film for the first time last night. I didn’t care for it much (the pacing was just so slow) but I do think it would work better as a play. Thoughts?
Perhaps they think that no one else matters in the cast besides George Clooney. Their social media has been quiet for a full six weeks so that's what I think is happening, which may be a mistake. I loved the film, it was absolutely brilliant, but they need to do more at this point.
I think George is the show. I have tickets for a performance in mid May. If he’s out, I’m definitely in the refund line.

Do we think Clooney will have an understudy, or will they just cancel if he has to miss a show?"
I agree with the poster above that Clooney IS the show. People I know who don't regularly attend the theater are purchasing tickets despite complaining about ticket prices. They're really just going to see Clooney, similar to what many of them did when they saw The Music Man, simply to see Jackman. The play could turn out to be a bore-fest, but the show will sell well because of Clooney regardless if the rest of the cast is comprised of complete unknowns..
Paul Gross as William F Paley Glenn Fleshler as Fred Friendly Fran Kranz as Palmer Williams Andrew Polk as Charlie Mack Christopher Denham as John Aaron Clark Gregg as Don Hollenbeck Ilana Glazer as Shirley Wershba
Nice that Clooney & Cromer didn't try to find 1:1 comparisons for the people who played the parts on screen. Ilana Glazer and Glenn Fleshler are quite different "types" than Patricia Clarkson and George Clooney
