Wasn't she missing a lot of shows? Between that and the terrible word of mouth, maybe they decided she should leave early.

Well, she was a last minute casting, since Nicole opted out. It is plausible that Leona had some committments ahead of time, so she could only carve out 3 months as Griz. Yes, Alice Ripley would be a fantastic choice.
