Posted: 3/9/14 at 10:31pmI think this really looks amazing. The Normal Heart is one of my favorite plays, and this looks likes like a really good adaptation. I also have a lot of faith in HBO.

O'Hare also played State Sen. Briggs in MILK, a role not very friendly to the gay persuasion.
I think the teaser looks a little bland and by-the-numbers, which may prove to disappoint after the pure furnace of fiery energy of the recent revival, but it's still not enough footage to judge anything by just yet.
Words don't deserve that kind of malarkey. They're innocent, neutral, precise, standing for this, describing that, meaning the other, so if you look after them you can build bridges across incomprehension and chaos. But when they get their corners knocked off, they're no good anymore…I don't think writers are sacred, but words are. They deserve respect. If you get the right ones in the right order, you can nudge the world a little.
