Edit: Looks like the movie is being filmed in NYC and Nashville so perhaps Reeve being absent now is for the NYC filming and March is Nashville filming?

Ahh didn't know about this! I wonder how much longer he'll be with the show then.

Can we confirm if Kay returned as a Fate yet? I believe she was scheduled to return yesterday. Yesterday was Mariand's last day.

I'm going to assume she will return tomorrow night, or if not tomorrow night very soon. She posted on IG about how she started rehearsals about a week ago.

Oh great! Do we know who is on as Fate 2 in the meantime?

Kay's picture and bio are back on the website. And she shared a few "Kay is back on Broadway" posts to her IG stories. I'm assuming she's back tonight!

Tomás Matos is joining the Broadway cast as a vacation swing, covering all five workers.
They were most recently seen across the street, as an ensemblist in the ill-fated Diana.

Anyone have any idea if anyone aside from Reeve is scheduled to be out this week? Seeing the show Friday.

Just got back! Confirming Kay was on. T was on as Hermes and Amber was Persephone.

Really enjoyed T and Jordan’s performances! Orpheus is such an unforgiving vocal role and Jordan handled it really well. I think he really shined in Act 2. Also want to call out that Eva’s performance was awesome tonight!

Tonight was actually my first time seeing Amber and Patrick perform together and I really loved their chemistry.

First exposure to the show was last night - wow!! I was surprised T. Oliver Reid was an understudy, he was fantastic. Amber Grey and Eva Noblezada blew me away. I loved all the fates too. Production, lighting, songs - so good!! Such a great show.

The insert mentioned Amber and T., which tells me Amber wasn’t supposed to be on last night (I’m glad she was). She is truly something special.

The weakest link to me was Orpheus/Jordan - I thought he was the understudy but I suppose not. I’ll have to try and catch someone else in the role but perhaps I just don’t like the character. I didn’t love Jordan’s falsetto in Act 1.

Also was totally captivated by the worker who has to be over 6’4. He was lovely to watch - so rare to see such a tall guy as a chorus member or theater in general! Based on the website I think it’s Timothy Hughes. He’s also ripped and looked perfect for the hades/factory scenes.

Edit: I can’t believe I didn’t even mention Patrick Page, he was THE highlight of the show and I can’t imagine seeing a replacement for him. Wow wow wow!!

Last night was my fifth time seeing the show.  This was my second time with T as Hermes and I just think he’s absolutely incredible. Eva has somehow gotten even better in this role and she is doing some seriously incredible work. Jessie Shelton is killing it as one of the fates too. And oh my goodness the band sounds absolutely incredible (they were wearing masks). I was a little disappointed with Jordan. I don’t think he was bad and I liked his acting choices. When everyone around him is giving such vocally precise and expressive performances, his feels a bit messy by comparison and he sticks out.

Re: Jordan, I did notice his applause was less than the others during the bow, which is sad because he’s the last bow!

Yeah, too bad, he's so much better than Reeve.

Yeah, that's Timothy. His voice is also really rich and deep. You can hear it if you listen closely in the cast album, especially during "If It's True".

I've read through this whole thread and just checking -- so it doesn't sound like there's any set schedule or pattern for when the principals are out? I've seen the show 2x pre-pandemic and would love to see it again to catch as many of the OBC as possible one last time before they start to leave (which I assume is likely imminent in the next few months but maybe not); although they're all great, I'd particularly like to catch Eva, Andre, and Patrick one last time. Any day of the week you guys would suggest over any others for my best bet? I'm local to NYC so can pretty much do whenever although I was hoping to catch the Broadway Week deal if possible.

Lana Gordan (Persephone alternate) is scheduled on Tuesdays and Sundays. I would skip those days.

Edit: Eva is out 1/21. Not sure of any future shows she will be out though.

I think Jordan might be in all of January for Reeves.

How has Andre’s attendance been? It seems a lot of folks have been seeing T. the last month or two. I would also like to try and catch him.

Eva probably out the next day too because her concert is in AZ.

Andre has been somewhat of a loose cannon when it comes to attendance since October/September 2021. I would just get the ticket and pray. Even if you don't get Andre, Anthony and T are EXCELLENT understudies for Hermes (Personally, I prefer T's performance in the role to Mr. DeShields'Hadestown Understudies)

Good to know, thanks all! I've seen it twice with Andre and think he's incredible so I do hope to see him again but obviously without any kind of official alternate schedule I'll just have to wait and see! I assumed most of the OBC were nearing the end of their contracts when the shutdown happened so I kind of figure these months since we've been back are just bonus! Good to know about Eva's concert on the 21st also.

Do we know why Andre is starting to miss more dates?

I wonder if Khaila will go on as Eurydice for the 21st and 22nd since her final performance is the 22nd and she will be going on as Eurydice on that date.

Definitely hope to see Reeve when he comes back. I would have loved to see T. as well.

I'd imagine his age is catching up with him. He's 76 and Hermes is a demanding role. Bless him for doing what he does. His energy is admirable.
