What is the parking situation?  I am coming on the evening performance on the 8th.  I will have a rental car and am debating what to do.  I will be in a class in Santa Clara until 3pm.  I could leave my car there and take public transportation to the theater.  I have a reservation at a hotel very near the theater but parking is $86.50 and I refuse to pay that much to park.  If I drove into town, what options might I have for overnight parking?  I am going to Folsom the next day so going back down to Santa Clara to get the car would be annoying but certainly more economical.

I am very much looking forward to seeing the show.  I saw the OBC minus Phillipa and Anthony, I saw the replacement cast minus Javi, and I've seen it in Chicago.  I have season tickets in a city where I think the 2nd tour will be performing.  Now, I need a way to get West End tickets.  I'm actually going to Chicago again in July with my sister and niece and I'm most excited about watching my niece watch it live.

Jordan Donica performance at The Washington National Opera Gala last night.  What a voice on him!  I could actually see him playing Aaron Burr or George Washington as well in Hamilton.

Now, due to circumstances clearly out of my control, I will be unable to make it to SFO this Thirsday. I have a ticket in the balcony, AA7. It is a partial view. I paid $110 after taxes and fees. I would love to let someone have it, unfortunately, I physically have it in hand. If someone wants to buy it, preferably for what I paid and is willing to pay overnight shipping fees, please send me a pm.

Have you used Park Whiz before? If not, please sign up at  http://ssqt.co/m5bO1Fj you'll get discount. I quickly searched 6/8-9 overnight (7pm check in, checking out 10am) and there are several options. I don't know where your hotel will be, but I parked 530 Turk ($22) st before and it was fine. I also used 265 eddy st ($40) and it was fine although it's in the middle of area you want to walk very fast lol. At least it's closer to the theatre. Enjoy the show!

My friends went to see the evening show on June 3rd and Act one and two Hamilton actors were different. I haven't confirmed the name of the actors but I assume it's Michael (Act 1) and the alternate (Act 2). My friend said the Act 2 actor sounded like LLM. I hope Michael is okay!

Jordan performed Feelin' Good on Saturday night in DC. It was his interpretation and voice that made me think he'd make a wonderful Washington or Burr.

Ryan Vasquez is on for Burr on June 14th, which is when I'm seeing the show. Anyone seen him in the role (or another role he covers) or heard how he is?

Did anybody see Ryan Vasquez as Burr yesterday? Super interested to hear how he was.

I saw Ryan at the matinee. I had no idea what to expect, and was bummed to miss Joshua Henry, but I was blown away by his performance. I couldn't believe it was his first time. His singing was spectacular, and Wait For It and especially Room Where it Happens brought the house down. He really commanded the stage, and he was very charming. His acting was great, and he was intensely emotional during the duel. I was very impressed with his performance.

Everyone else was great too. Raven Thomas was on as Angelica and she killed it. The longest applause of the show by far was after One Last Time - Isaiah was AMAZING. Solea and Michael were both great, as I'd heard. And Jordan Donica as Lafayette/Jefferson impressed me, although Guns and Ships was somewhat anticlimactic. My seats from the center of row V in the orchestra were near-perfect.

Yeah, I read that Ryan Vasquez just performed as Aaron Burr and completely nailed it.

Interestingly, it looks like this is the first time a Caucasian guy has a lead role in Hamilton.  Yeah, i know he has a Hispanic surname, but he could easily pass as white.  Kinda curious to see how a Caucasian guy interprets the role.

...but he's not. "Looking" like a certain race doesn't mean one is. Ryan IS Hispanic.

dove back into the hamilton pool last night for my sixth viewing of the SF cast. four subs were in, including for eliza and angelica, so it was fun to see the cast with different players.

Jennie Harney was in as Eliza Hamilton

Her performance was just simply show stealing.

acting 10, singing 10, stage presence 10, owned the role 10

i think it was one of her first performances as Eliza. There was much more emotion during both their sons death and the foregiveness scenes, largely due to the power of her acting. everyone around me was waterworks city.(ok i cried too)

Would love to hear more about her and why she isn't better known yet.

She appears in the playbook listed as having the role Eliza Hamilton (not a standby or understudy), so it seems she may be replacing Solea Pfieffer on the tour????

what a gift...have got to go see her again before the show leaves for LA.

julia harriman was in for angelica and she has a stunning melodic voice and plays angelica much softer than Emmy, with lots of strength and more femininity (that may have been more likely imo subject to the time period of the show being portrayed)  I liked both versions of angelica and think i preferred Julia's portrayal. the sisters chemistry and singing were very good.  Jacob guzman played charles lee and was great as well...lots of depth and talent in this cast.

I had heard about Jennie Harney playing Eliza, but I didn't realize it might be permanent. It seemed like she was a swing and they had her learn the role. Solea and Emmy have been gone a LOT recently. I'm going to the show for the second time tomorrow, and I was hoping to see Emmy, but it seems I'll probably be out of luck. However, these swings and understudies seem great! And if she is replacing Solea, I'm surprised, because Solea was the star of the show, and I can't think of why she'd go.

i just saw solea was announced as part of sondheim on sondheim at hollywood bowl july 23rd so ham mgt may have let her take some time off to rehearse for that but its very unusual to hear of a principal in a tour being able to get out of contract for another project

im not sure most people consider solea the "star" of the show with jennie

both josh henry and rory omalley have more substantive broadway resumes and the hamilton and burr roles are considered by most to be the two leads of hamilton.

i like solea and have seen her many times in the role....i think its a better show with jennie as eliza

in either you get a great show

I guess I worded that wrong. I meant that Solea really stood out to me as one of the best performances of the show, not that she was the literal star of the show. My mistake. I wish I could see Jennie in the role, she sounds amazing.

being able to surprise your oldest and best friend by  inviting him to fourth row aisle tickets to hamilton san francisco on august 3 during the last week of shows in San Francisco!

Only five weeks left of Hamilton in SF and then it may be years before I get to see it again...

.Looked at the tickets in new york....still INSANE prices.....would love to see Javier while he's still doin Hamilton.....

Heard a credible story from an SHN senior employee that SF is in the cue for an extended sit down in 2018 like we got for Wicked in 2009-10....

my fingers are crossed

Regarding Hamilton NY: It's pretty easy and reliable to get tix via the cancellation line.  I know it's a gamble because of the costs of travel and the possibility he'll be out, so probably not possible, but just putting it out there.

That would require creating a third national tour as the current tour along with the second one set to open in February 2018, have dates already spoken for through 2018. Or unless the open ended Chicago run gets transplanted to SF.

They are building a new deck for the LA run per David Korins Instagram: https://instagram.com/p/BVX3FDdhVxV/

So I wonder if this is a reason to believe the SF deck is gonna be utilized for a longer period of time. Or if the deck just wasn't built to tour?

^^ Many theatres have different stage configurations. The Pantages happens to be a very big theatre.

More likely if SF gets the extended run, it will be the Chicago production.  Currently, tickets are only sold there thru 1/7/18.  Its announced 2-year run ends in September 2018.  Anything is possible.
