I'm aware the pantages has a different stage configuration. Almost every theatre does, but I'm just pointing out what Hamilton is planning to do is not what a normal tour does. Not every tour builds a new deck every stop they make.

I know he said so they could make sure the set got to LA in time for opening, but if the set for wicked can travel to a new city in 2 days then the Hamilton set should have been built to travel the week it has in between SF and LA. This only adds more to my suspicion of the Hamilton tour set not being built to tour.

Jorge, ceorgeghlada on IG is you, right? It looks like you asked Korins this exact question on IG and he answered you directly and explained they didn't want to take any chances since it was their very first move and they want it to be perfect. Understandable since there are a ton of show business movers and shakers in L.A. to be impressed, it looks like a technically complicated set and they are charging a small fortune for tickets. The intense scrutiny they will be under at every tour stop to be absolutely flawless will be unprecedented. You think that L.A. audience is going to be cool if they have a 20 minute interruption in the middle of Act 1 because one of the turntables is not working properly? Having an extra deck might also be a good idea as the tour progresses. You're comparing it to Wicked, a show that's been touring for over 12 years and could probably move cities in their sleep? He answered you directly and yet you still don't believe him? And say he's lying to you and they're building a new deck for L.A. for reasons he doesn't want to publicly share... so what?
Hi all! Looking to purchase tickets to Hamilton in San Francisco for any performance between July 5-9. Looking for 1,2, or 3 tickets (depending on what you have!) please let me know if you or any of your friends have any to sell - shoot me a PM. Thanks!!
She appears in the playbook listed as having the role Eliza Hamilton (not a standby or understudy), so it seems she may be replacing Solea Pfieffer on the tour???? "
I believe you must be referring to the paper insert. That changes every day depending on who is in and out. They don't do individual inserts for cast changes.

SHNSF.com (the most official website there is) is always having tickets pop up. There's always primo priced tix but even regular ones become available in singles or pairs if you check in especially the day of or day before.

I don't know what your appetite is in paying $524 for tickets but there are plenty of those at SHN. It may be hard to secure non premium seats the next few days. But keep checking the site for some last minute releases.

That would require creating a third national tour as the current tour along with the second one set to open in February 2018, have dates already spoken for through 2018. Or unless the open ended Chicago run gets transplanted to SF. "
"Big Apple2 said: "More likely if SF gets the extended run, it will be the Chicago production. Currently, tickets are only sold there thru 1/7/18. Its announced 2-year run ends in September 2018. Anything is possible.
We're not talking about extending the Tour, we're talking about getting a sit down production like Chicago currently has, so no third tour production needed, this is something that wouldn't happen for at least a year. But second, why would it be a transfer of the Chicago production? They could absolutely have a sit down Chicago and San Francisco production running at the same time. From the sounds of it, Chicago is not even close to closing and it's quite clear there's demand here by how fast tickets sold out and I know A LOT of people who were in the queue the second they went on sale and still weren't able to purchase them, so they definitely have the ability to have a nice long run here as well.
It's my understanding that this has always been the hope/dream/wish. And honestly, I wouldn't doubt it if there were talk of it in LA too. I would not be shocked in the least if Hamilton managed to have simultaneous productions of this show in New York, Chicago, LA and SF while also having two touring companies. It's been two years now since it's came to Broadway (not even counting the 6 months prior to that when it made a splash off Broadway) and is just as prominent, relevant, and more popular than ever.
On Another note, given that it looks like Solea will be in LA when I go back to see this production a second time (July 22nd), 'm super thankful I got to see her three weeks ago as she absolutely reduced me to a puddle of tears in every appearance in act two, I swear. She blew me away and I thought her voice was just beautiful. And while I'm sad my family will not get to experience her performance, because I was really excited for them to hear her, it sounds like the role of Eliza will be in more than capable hands, and as someone who LOVES understudies and the chance to see as many takes on a role as possible, I'm thrilled that I'll get to see at least one different performer the next go round. (Hoping Emmy is there this time. She was out the first time, but Raven was on and just outstanding as Angelica!)
I've seen the show twice, and Raven was Angelica in both shows. She was amazing, but I never got to see Emmy. Also, the second time, Julia K. Harriman was on as Eliza; she was spectacular. Easily as good as, if not the tiniest bit better than, Solea.
Double-posting Joshua Henry's one-night solo SF show here.
"Joshua Henry, star of Hamilton The Musical in San Francisco, takes the stage for a one night only solo concert performance of his signature high-energy mix of Broadway, funk, and soul."
not their best night-michaels energy noticeably lower than normal... hope hes ok.. must be hard to deliver every night at the leve he does. im a huge fan of his
raven on for emmy. she is my least favorite of the three angelicas ive seen. her performance felt flat and forced(sorry raven) also understudies for gen lee and a few of the dance tracks
josh henry and rory odriscoll and solea all turned in monster performances. this was soleas best performace ive seen so far-both acting and singing
she was terrific and her emotional turn at the end of the when she "sees" alexander on the other side is
so powerful
i hope the cast is fired up for LA
it will literally be a nightly audition for the main actors to get considered for recurring tv roles and the magical recurring revs when a show hits syndication
i think josh rory and michael all have a great chance of getting tv offers
ryan alvarado was on for michael lowouye as hamilton last night
He actually looks and sounds like a slightly better fed version of miranda, and overall the crowd liked him a lot.
I found a lot of his acting choices to be odd and distracting, and he played hamilton as kind of nervous and unsure as if any moment a piano might fall on him.... Glad to see his take on the role, greatly prefer Michael
all three schuyler sisters in and they were having a strong night. emmy really rocked satisfied
sub also in for the madison track and he did a good job...
always amazed by josh henry every time I see him
29 Hamilton SF performances left and its off to Los Angeles
grateful for the opportunities ive had to see the show and a few variations on what i feel is a fantastic touring cast

Spot on description.I saw the show for the 3rd time last Tues and I found Ryan's Hamilton tentative from start to finish. I thought his portrayal could've showed more transformation and ambition (from being fresh off the boat to Founding Father). Still glad to see a different Hamilton.
We sat on the first row of the far left of the balcony, row AA seats 1 and 3. It's partial view but hardly. I thought they were very good seats. The sound was ok. We were very close to a speaker. Washington's mic was turned up too loud. I loved seeing the staging, lighting and choreography that I missed from the orchestra. I brought binoculars to zoom in on facial expressions.
We'll see it again Aug. 3 but across from where we sat, balcony row AA 2 & 4. Never got a chance to see it from the center.
always nice to hear others who felt.experienced the same things(sometimes when im critical i think its just me!_
We were at the same show and will be at the same show on august 3rd. ill be in C2&4 in the orch
have not seem the show upstairs and last tuesday spent a few songs upstairs in the late first act in the mezz then the balcony. was surprised how good both the sound and the views are for such a big theatre
crossing my fingers to see all the tour leads perform one more time!
It looks like Ryan Vasquez made his debut as Hamilton tonight. (Or Last night as it's 2:30 in the morning as I type this lol), Curious to know if anyone went and saw him. Always love hearing about different takes on roles.
