I definitely plan on seeing "Gypsy" , "Xanadu" (hopefully it's still open by then), "Spamalot" and one off-Broadway play when I go to NYC from June 10 - 13th. I've got my hotel (EconoLodge-Midtown) and flight (JetBlue). All I need is to purchase tickets.
Shalom y'all... from RC in Austin, Texas
"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

I envy everyone who was lucky enough to see Frost/Nixon and The Coast of Utopia. I think it's a crime that the Broadway production was not preserved on DVD (I wanna get the CD though) and I can hardly wait for the movie version of Frost/Nixon.
So this is my year as best as I can remember it:

My list with short reviews: 1. The Wiz, La Jolla Playhouse - Great set design...lots of potential. 2. Most Wanted, La Jolla Playhouse - Quite impressive...thanks Linda H.! 3. Camelot (tour) - not bad at all. Matt Bogart stole the show. 4. Les Miserables, the Broadhurst Theater - I was surprised with the review. The music was thin but the revival was not bad all. Daphne was a good actor but her vocal styles were unique. 5. Company, Ethel Barrymore Theatre - The entire company was amazing. This was an excellent revival. 6. Les Miserables, the Broadhurst Theater - with Lea Salonga (opening week) as Fantine....amazing! 7. Les Miserables, the Broadhurst Theater - Lea Salonga's farewell performance. It was luminous! 8. The Ritz, Studio 54 Theater - Rosie Perez's club scene was hilarious! 9. Xanadu, Helen Hayes Theater - Hilarious, entertaining! 10. Young Frankenstein, The Hilton Theater - huge production, entertaining but was just ok. 11. Hairspray (Tour) - Fun show.
Thanks to the strike, we missed The Little Mermaid and Legally Blonde.
Happy New Year to all!

We must have different Gods. My God said "do to others what you would have them do to you". Your God seems to have said "My Way or the Highway".
