From a very reliable source at a prestigious theater organization:
Tony voters' tickets are no longer honored, even if they were booked prior to the nominations being announced.
TACKY!
I guess someone's gotta one-up Spiderman's "People named Tony" trick last year
Well, from a totally practical stand point, the show is not being voted on, so pony up the cash like the rest of us.
Right? Why should they honor those tickets? They can now sell them.
While I don't think this is true.. if it were.. Good for them. Why shouldn't they have to pay?

I am trying to get a screen caption, but source is hesitant because of work reasons. This same person revealed to me that Darvill was joining ONCE weeks prior. I never post something unless I believe it to be credible. I would be shocked if he/she were making this up.
I'm not denying that, Betty. But it does seem awfully tacky to me...

Exactly, if it is true I don't see a problem - they should sell the tickets and obtain the profit - they don't need Tony voters to take profits away from them. They can buy a ticket to a show that wasn't nominated.

Hilarious! Love it!
I don't think it is tacky at all. Why should the Tony voters be invited if the show if there is nothing to vote on!
It is a limited run and there are plenty of people interested in paying money to see it - probably some of those very Tony voters too!
About time the free ride stops. There is more than getting something just because you think you deserve it.
That'll teach the voters to see a show BEFORE it's nominated (or not).
It makes perfect sense to me. This is one of the hottest shows in town, and it's in a small theatre. Why would they give every Tony voter a pair of prime seats that they can get $130+ for each when the Tonys already showed them the back of their hands? Tacky? Maybe. But it's not like Miss M hasn't worn that moniker with pride before.
I guarantee you Bette M has nothing to do with that decision.
There's nothing tacky about it. I'm all for them pulling a Dolores Grey and saying, 'Thanks a lot, but no thanks!'
I love it if its true. The run is pretty much sold out if I'm not mistaken, so they're letting more people who want to see the show have that chance.
Hilarious!
Good for them!

It's not so much the ones who haven't booked yet, but the screw you to those who committed a date to seeing it. Is there a precedent for this? Has it been done before? Seems a bit like a sore loser move to me... But I do agree with you all on some level.

I love Dolores Grey!

Not tacky at all. Good for them.
Why should the producers of I'll Eat You Last lose over $225,000 in revenue to invite the voters for awards they are not nominated for? It makes complete sense, if true.

Why is anyone assuming the OP is real and accurate?

I hope there is a press release including the term "egregious".
John, the OP is a very reliable person.
