Sorry, I go along with the decision. The free tickets to the Tony voters were allotted on the assumption that the show would be nominated for something and that it would give all voters an opportunity to view the show prior to voting. But as it happened, the show received no nomination and the voters no longer have the "right" to the allotted tickets. What were they expecting -- a write-in vote? Hardly. IMO.

Thanks, Jordan. I appreciate that.
I wasn't trying to start an argument by mentioning this. But when I heard it, I couldn't think of anyone else to share the gossip with but all of you.
I understand where all of you are coming from, though!

We really need a 'like' button for comments like this: "I guess she ate them last."
This is amazing.

No, she didn't eat them at all. She's on a diet.

I have to echo that for me, too. This is not the first time you've very kindly given me helpful information (as one who is a "newbie" here) when you could have just as easily responded in a different direction...
Your new avatar sucks (when compared to the pleasing visuals of your former), but I DO sincerely thank you!
Yep, not too pleased about the avatar either. But for the time being, they're gonna be different.
And I like you, John. You're capable of having a mature discussion instead of the other halfwit moron newbies around here.
Yeah girl.. THAT AVATAR THOSE SUCK! I guess we expect so much from you.
Someone sent me a message saying the confused me for fvcktard broadway guy so I changed it. I like his avatars especially after he spent an entire thread (now deleted) telling everyone how pathetic I was for having them.
Add me to the list of people approving this decision. They get free tickets solely so they can decide whether to vote for the show. Since it isn't nominated, the voters no longer need comps to fulfill that task. Pay up if you want to see it.

Yeah, Jordan. As much as I love her, that avatar just isn't as fun to look at as the beefcake you've usually got as your avatar.
Why should those freeloaders feel like they're still entitled to free tickets?
Let them go get free tickets to something they nominated.
I LOVE IT!!! And I do hope Bette had something to do with this decision as it would serve the Tony voters right! Go **** themselves I can just hear Miss Sophie Tucker say. Lol
Bette is very serious about this.
I'd rather talk about Dolores Gray. Someone brought her up earlier in this thread and I loved PJ's old avatar of her with her arms up in the air...it gave me LIFE!
That is all! You're welcome!

I believe I read in a bio, that when the Romanian ambassador's wife wanted an audience with her, Evita Peron sent a message telling her to "wait on line like everyone else". Bette doesn't give it away for free. I'm on the side of the producers.

Good for her. Now more fans can see the show.

Tony Nominators and Tony Voters are two different groups. I'm sure MANY voters think Bette should have been nominated. The nominators got to see it. The voters are the ones who didn't.
I understand the producers decision, It's about money and it makes sense. However, The Tony Voters are not free loaders. They pay about $3,500 a year. So the tickets are a good deal but not free by any means.
Thanks PJ...I needed that right about now!
yo se lo que tu necesitas.
Dos cervezas, por favor.
If every Tony voter is allowed 2 tickets that's 1700 tickets. The Booth only seats 700 - the Tony voters would take up 2.5 performances of a very limited run. And now without any nominations what purpose, beyond political, would those tickets serve?
