sorry, I know there is a review thread but this is getting lost in it - anyone have any sense of what the extension cast will look like besides SJB?
The current last page in that thread (page 16) should provide answers, as should the ITW Broadway official website.
As of right now, SJB and Kennedy Kanagawa are slated through to the end per statements on their socials.
Assuming right now they are hard at work trying to see who will come in for the last round barring any extensions of the current cast
Katy Geraghty also stated in her IG stories that she would be there until January 8 as well. Probably safe to assume most of the cast will, with BDJ likely returning, since a couple cast members have noted his final performance wasn’t his “final” performance.

Hey Raul - there literally is no other information of the extension cast on the website (but it does say post Oct 16 cast to be announced). Also, there really isn't any other nuggets in that thread which is why I started this one...hoping that there will be some other amazing super talented Broadway folks to be announced for extension. For those of us that don't live in NYC - want to able to know WHO I am seeing before spending da money, ya know?

It's not on the website because, as the website says, casting post-October 16 hasn't been announced.
So any info folks may have to share is, of course, a rumor/hearsay until it is confirmed by the show. So, you won't know who you'll see after October 16 until they announce it, and there's no way to know when they will announce it until they announce it - or until people ~in the know~ start hinting/sharing.
There are a few people on this board who are, so perhaps they'll have info to share, but if casting is make or break for your buck, you'd be best to wait for something official.
casting is definitely make or break it for me - these ticket prices aren't cheap for decent seats. I have a good feeling the cast to be announced will be great and worth it.

Then....you've got your answer, with your "good feeling!" If you're begging for information, with casting "make it or break it" for you, then why don't you go ahead and buy since you "have a good feeling the cast to be announced will be great and worth it"? Trust yourself, then!

Too late now but I grabbed a pair for Thursday using Broadway Week 2-1 deal but seems like their are none left. I saw it at Encores from the Balcony and am splurging $90 for back of orchestra ( with a friend for the 2nd ticket) I think the cast seems pretty set for now and sounds good to me

Sebastian leaves 10/23, BDJ returns 10/25.
Joshua Henry leaves 10/9, Andy Karl joins 10/11.
Rest of the cast remains the same through 11/20. Closing cast starting 11/21 to be announced later.

Actually, it looks like Gavin is staying and Andy will be joining as Josh Henry's role of Rapunzel's Prince

Is Gavin leaving? Here's what the article says:
Gavin Creel as the Wolf/Cinderella's Prince, Andy Karl as Rapunzel's Prince beginning October 11 (having previously played the Wolf/Cinderella's Prince),
We loved this, but sadly missed BDJ....maybe we'll catch him this time!
Already bought tickets for when I am in town again - can't wait to see this. I have only seen the show once with Vanessa Williams a million years ago
Super confused about the cast - it's like algebra - who is in and who isn't in...I thought the BDJ and AK casting meant for the rest of the run - but looks like they end before Thanksgiving.
Not being snarky or bitchy here but can someone explain all of this in and out casting?
For almost 500$ a ticket kinda would have been nice to have had clarity on who is actually going to be performing,
I wish....I wish...
Who will be in the cast over Thanksgiving? SJB and Gavin and that's all we know?
They haven't said whose last day is 11/20, and other than the posts on some of the actors' personal social media, no one has been confirmed by the production as staying past that date through closing.
For what it's worth, Andy Karl posted on his Instagram that he'll be in the show from October 11 through November 23rd while Joshua Henry fulfills some obligations.
I’m told an original Encores cast member should also be returning to their role in (I think) October.

While confusing, I think that’s exactly why the show has been able to last as long as it has with such a cavalcade of Broadway talent - the flexible scheduling and allowances to go in and out of the show make it much more performer-friendly and appealing in terms of a contract than, say, a flat 6-months. Plus, the rotating cast entices people to come back for more (I only intended to see it once and I’ve now seen it three times)

Hmmmm
Still no new blood in the Jack role?
Come on, someone's gotta want to get their hands on that...

The current Jack -- Cole Thompson -- is pretty damn great, so why would they need "new blood"?
Can’t imagine why anyone would want a new Jack…

Headly? Benton? Patrick Harris? It's low-key funny that there's been a such a revolving door of excellent performers that it doesn't even matter at this point.
I don’t blame Cole Thompson for wanting to hold on to his job for as long as he can.

If Gaten Matarazzo wanted to take another shot at Jack that would help box office. Do we think Sara's the one coming back in November?
