I wish they had recorded the BONEY M musical....DADDY COOL. I love their music.
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

Along the lines of Talking Heads, imagine the scene that would include "Life During Wartime:"
"This ain't no party,
This ain't no disco,
This ain't no fooling around..."
Someone get to work on this.

I'd say "The Who", but that would be sort of "Tommy".
...Sort of.

You must think I'm still sixteen.
I dropped out of high school for a reason.
And I don't care if you're pretty. I'm not admitting you are right.
My soul is not a stage.
I won't pretend I'm anything I'm not

JRybka - if you mean a Daddy Cool cast recording, one was made.
I would say a Meatloaf musical. I know one is in development and I can't wait to see what comes of it.

Seriously though, I would LOVE to see Ben Folds' music adadpted for the stage, and the possibility of Rufus Wainwright 'cause, that would be truly spectacular.

I'd love to see a Nellie McKay musical.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

I support Oingo Boingo all the way!!!
I want to say a "Beatles" Musical, but there's a little voice in the back of my head saying "It's already been done." But I have no recollection of this.
Was there a Beatles Musical?

Gorillaz is definitely a band whose musical I'd see. Their "Demon Days" album is one of the most theatrical CDs I own in some ways.

Across The Universe was a recent movie musical directed by Julie Taymor that was set to The Beatles music
It was alright. Kind of hard to sit through...
