Yes, she is:Amber Riley Will Make Her Feature Film Debut In Tyler Perry's 'The List' With Tiffany Haddish And Whoopi Goldberg...She's shooting this film now.
I heard that Sonia Friedman wants the Hudson so maybe after the Go-Go's musical spring '19.

A distant friend is connected to Riley who has made it known that it isn't dead by a long shot. Waiting for certain things to line up (like schedules and a theatre).

The west end production is one of the worst things I've seen in professional/commercial theater. The direction is all over the place and is no better than that of the abominable Carousel revival.

Yaaaaaassss!!!! I’m all for it. I was getting worried since there wasn’t much buzz about it transferring until recently.
Im also happy that they’re looking for new leads. Just based off of the clips I’ve seen and montages, I wasn’t really feeling the majority of the principals aside from Amber Riley and Moyea as Effie.

Didn't you listen??? "We are dreamgirls, dreamgirls, dreamgirls will never leave you, no, no, and all you got to do is dream, all you gotta do is dream, all you gotta do is DREEEEEEEEEEEAM, baby, we'll be there". Does that sound like they could EVER DIE? HELL NO.

I saw the revival last year and I thought it was explendid.
It's very BIG, after all it's Casey, but I think it fits Dreamgirls perfectly!
The cast was amazing, with a big standout performance by Amber Riley. I would change the Deena tho.
The musical never bores and makes a very special case to make this so waited revival a thing on Broadway.

They're not necessarily looking for new leads. The producers are required to advertise all roles as available until a signed contract is in place.

Ahh gotcha. I’m not opposed to the cast transferring as a collective, but just based on clips I think Deena should be recast. Also, I felt like a lot of them had a little issue completely covering their British accent.

Will this be a straight-up transfer of the West End production or will the creative team make notable changes from the West End production?

There's a lot of chatter in the other thread about it possibly going to the Winter Garden

It says 2018/2019 because it's eyeing this upcoming season (2018-2019). Definitely the spring.
