These forums are for discussion as is this thread. We are able to talk about this in any mannor we wish.
Likewis, most teens out there have enough personal descression to not read anything that makes them uncomfortable.
The reason why they haven't been deleated is because of the first statment I have made.

Of course many of them will read it.

"Broadway star James Barbour recently returned to the stage in the Riker's Island Inmate production of OKLAHOMA, giving a compelling performance as Ado Annie, and the classic song, "I'm Just a Girl Who Cain't Say No".
Added one prison insider, "like all sexual offenders, around here he doesn't have much choice."

Especially because one of the arguments is that the victim isn't really a victim because some contend she wanted it and was only using him to boost her career. For us victims of sexual abuse (and I would bet a million dollars I'm not the only one on this board) if you are going to say asinine and incorrect things, at least try to phrase them in a rational and professional way

So who wants to start?

#232james barbour: NOT in his own words
Posted: 4/5/08 at 4:51am
And I am the first to start, so I am not posting anymore about this, when other more positive things could be discussed, like I posted before.
But, one last thing, for morganastyle: I am not sure why people like you insist to call someone a "sicko" and pretend that what might have happened in B's dressing room was not between two people who apparently were consenting--If your "friend" did not consent, then why was she there to start with...?! AND, why did she not say NO if she was not comfortable with what was happening? I give her the benefit that we all can make mistakes, as surely you could do for Barbour. You know, I have female realatives, and none of them have ever come out to accuse any guy for something stupid they themselves engaged in as willing participants.
Now, if your friend had said NO, and Barbour had NOT stopped, then she should have gotten out of there, and it would have reflected badly on him, which I do hope it was not the case, here.
...and Madonna now writes children's books, but I never accepted her prior, openly, morally questionable(ofensive to some) behaviour, but nobody else seems to care...I hope I make my point.
And to the person who e-mailed me, it is not fair to make assertions of the kind, without giving the adequate facts about what you are referring to. I DON'T know the girl personaly, her family, or Barbour, for that matter. I gather you do, so if there was something that you could have told me to explain your position, not just generic info, it would have been appreciated. Listen, I am not "creepy", like PalJoey thinks.(again to show you how some people like to "label" others who do not share their opinions). I think I have stated my opinions before, so now I will cease this endless thread which is getting nowhere, OR where it shouldn't, as son_of_a_gunn_25 stated.
Hopefully nobody posts something I will feel too compelled to reply to. I will strongly refrain.

Posted: 4/5/08 at 7:45amyes, you are exceptionally creepy. your post is damaging. you seem to be trying to get the thread deleted by engaging in exactly the kind of thing son argued against. you're the problem. the kind of thinking you promote here is the same "blame the victim" type of nonsense that was responsible for causing the creation of rape-shield laws. i don't know if you're barbour's agent, a family member or what, but your opinion is warped, horribly. he's a sick guy who likes to have sex with little girls. you might see nothing wrong with that. you're wrong. just as he was wrong.

TOTCSF1: Don't you know about the research that shows that men and women have very large discrepancies regarding how to say no? Women think that a nonverbal "no," such as pulling away, is fine, whereas men (such as you, I'm assuming) are expecting them to actually and explicitly say the word.

Posted: 4/6/08 at 3:57pmIsn't Barbour getting out of jail today? With auditions tomorrow, I believe, I would imagine many of our questions will start to be answered in the coming weeks.
