Thoughts?
Lol
As much as I liked her, she won’t even be nominated.
Still? Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but she was never the favorite to win. And yeah, with the crowded category, and the largely-panned show she’s in, the jury is still out on whether she’ll even get nominated.
It’s way too early to call, but I’d say no… I don’t think she ever was favored. Unfortunately, I don’t think she’ll be nominated either unless it’s a weak spring.

Oh ok, the show may have not been well received by critics, but her individual performance I believe was well praised.
Ok, who is the favorite then?

Two words and one letter: Sharon D. Clarke.

Sharon D. Clarke
Katrina Lenk
Joaquina Kalukango
Beanie Feldstein
Mare Winningham
Sutton Foster
All six queens
and then maybe Jeanna De Waal
I’d imagine Carmen Cusack is also going to be Leading, as well.

Erin Davie is probably the only cast member who has a chance of being remembered with a nomination, and that depends entirely on how crowded the Featured Actress field turns out to be.
If I remember correctly her performance wasn’t that well received. I don’t imagine she’ll get a nomination, unfortunately.
Surprisingly it’ll be a very good year for Best Actress nominations and, as someone mentioned before, Sharon D. Clarke is the one to watch.
Sharon D Clarke, Katrina Lenk and Carmen Cusack are already giving amazing performances and it's only December!

Nope. The award is going to Loretta Swit for her luminous performance in JEANNA: the musical which you mentioned in a previous thread

Those 3 ladies would be my choices, too. Plus, let's see how Sutton Foster does in TMM.
Sharon D. Clarke has been the favorite, and remains the favorite.
Her performance in Caroline, or Change is a must-see.

All six queens”
The queens of SIX are being considered as individuals - at least at the moment. I’d say Brittney Mack is the most likely nominee of the six given her previous Drama League nom, but we shall see!
@Jordan, I think that user was just referring to “all six queens” because they’re all going be eligible in the leading category, not necessarily that they thought it would be a joint nomination

Are they reviving THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE?
If Beetlejuice is the patron saint of lost causes, Diana is the well known martyr.
I don’t think she’ll get a nod. She’ll probably slink back to England and lay low for awhile.
