I pre-ordered it back in January after seeing the show and received it today. I am listening through now, but it sounds just beautiful so far. Anyone else get theirs yet? I'm only bummed I'm not in NYC to go get it signed tomorrow!
My sister failed to tell me that I got a large package in the mail on Saturday. I just opened it today, and it's my autographed poster and CD preorder from Nonesuch. I was so sad that I could have been listening to the CD since late Saturday (I'm also surprised that it came that quickly!)
I dumbly ordered my CD through the official website when they first announced the CD pre-order for more money then I should have spent and haven't gotten it yet. Can't wait though!
Hate to be this guy, but I'm curious as to what the packaging is like...
Like a moron a few hours ago I thought "Hey, I'm going to run up and get a CD tonight if they're selling them in front of the theater to avoid a rush getting one tomorrow. I didn't see the merch guy out front so I wandered around for a few minutes before going back and finally saying to myself "Hey, DipSH*T. It's Monday"
I worked on it, so I can answer the packaging question.
It has an oversized, 96 page booklet with an essay by Frank Rich, synopsis, complete lyrics and recorded dialouge printed, and a lot of black and white photos. The designer at Nonesuch did a lovely job.
I got mine from PSClassic today and I listened to the whole thing on the subway and I love it. I got a signed poster with it to but the damn postal service bent it all over, even though it was stamped "Do not bend" multiple times. Did that happen to anyone else?
