There definitely is something going around. The cast of my show downtown is plagued by various bronchial illnesses, and I just missed two days of work because I caught something. I have to go on Thursday - send good thoughts my way, please!

Hope Karen and the others get better soon.

Wow she has been out for over a week. She must be seriously ill. I don't think I've ever been sick for over a week. I hope she gets better soon. Although I'm sure Kat is doing fine, nothing beats seeing Karen as Anita.

Well, one thing is being ill and having to work at an office, but when you have to go in to sing and dance on stage I think it makes sense to stay rested for a while since if you force yourself to sing and do a lot of physical work, you'll end up back in bed anyways.
I really hope Karen is okay and that she's back in WEST SIDE STORY soon enough.

I hope she is okay and this doesn't turn into anything REALLY serious! Poor thing hasn't had the chance to give a full performance since she won the Tony!

i hate to say this, but...

i don't think perching on the fence and watching the understudy board is going to bring her back any faster. she'll get back when she gets back. as i said, things like cough and muscle aches can persist for weeks after you are immune to a virus, and that's when you can shed it to give it to others. yay!

well, I'm optimistic for her return next week. Friends of mine are going then too, and one of them hasn't seen the show yet, so I hope Karen is back and blows her mind away. Nothing like seeing her TONY-winning Anita on your first time! :)

My goodness I feel so bad for her. Like mentioned before her voice sounded soar at the tonys but I hope Ms. Olivo comes back quickly to perform for the first time as a Tony Winner. What a voice, hope she recovers.

A friend just told me Karen is still out, Kat is on. I am glad Kat keeps going on now. But I really want Karen back.

Yeah, me too. Like NityaC said, I'm taking a friend who's never seen the show before and I kind of don't want to go if she's still out...
