WHOA!!!
KATE BURTON?? LOVES that casting!
Burton is inspired casting.
Although, I don't think it's enough to make me stomach the show again.

Burton has done the role many times - including once Off-Broadway, and in the majority of the readings.
Well. It's finally official. Not much of a surprise, but still extremely sad to see such an amazing performer depart.
John will be sorely missed.
So I guess the speculation about Groff and Michele will begin in about ummmmm three minutes (despite their both having said that they're staying til spring or until the pilot that Groff was recently in is picked up). People thrive on speculation!
Man, that's too bad about Gallagher. He is so excellent in this show.
I still need that black and white poster with JGJ on it! Must get that next weekend.
So sorry to see John go. I think Blake will be good, though. I used to think that Gallagher was the be-all and end-all of Moritz, and then I saw Gerard go on and was totally blown away. I have faith in the casting team.

Well,I thought it was going to be the 16th. Luckly, I have on stage seats for that performance.
I am sure it will be a very emotional evening.
I'LL BE THERE DECEMBER 18!
It's bumming to know the last time I saw the show (October) was the last time I'd see Gallagher in the role.... wish I could catch him one more time but don't think I can.

I kind of have faith in the casting team. Kind of. Drew comes to mind. I love his acting, I really, really do; but that boy can't sing. I'm sorry. Blake better be able to sing.
Isn't Kate Burton too overqualified for the role(s)?
Either way, she'll be amazing, as she is in just about anything she does.
Ohhhh....I LOVE Kate Burton!!

I know we are all entitled to our opinions, but I saw Gerard as "Moritz" and I am sorry, there is NO comparison...Gerard is very talented in his own right, but wrong for that role..
IMO...
Will be seeing Drew tonight for the first time, so I will base my opinion on what i see and not what has been said about him
Also-Hurray & grab the Black & White Theater card of Johnny, I believe there will be a run on it. I don't know if they will be using his image or not, that would prove to be interesting if they do.

LOL. When I read this, the first thought I had was:
I wonder how many people will audibly say "Oh! Its Meredith's mom!" when Burton comes on the stage....

I'd be saying "Oh! It's Hedda Gabler...and she's alive!," but that's just me.

The article says Stephen Spinella is already gone. Did he already leave or is he leaving on the 9th?

Well, Glenn was on last night, I think, if that means anything.
Will she sign my Doonesbury playbill? I wonder. Anybody? Nobody.

Ohmygosh, it's Eric Black from Judging Amy! I had no idea he could sing. As much as I dislike SA, I'd love to see him in it.
LMAO Kaybee, thank you!
Im gonna miss John so much! He was incredible and added so much to the already amazing show. He will be sorly missed, but then maybe soon he willl do another amazing show.
Just to verify- Kate Burton did play THE Doctor Grey in GREY'S ANATOMY. Correct?
Burton played Meredith Grey's (the main character of the show, played by Ellen Pompei) mother on GREY'S ANATOMY to Emmy-nominated effect. She was a former doctor, one of the most renowned surgeons and was diagnosed with Alzheimers. She was utterly fantastic in the show, I wish they hadn't killed off her character.
