Absolutely STUNNING <3
WOW breathtaking. I've always been hesitant about Kelly on Broadway because (as she admits herself) the acting struggle. But if we can get her in a mostly-sung through show, I think she would be incredible. Her ability to emote through a song is just amazing.
Ugh I love her so much. Jeanine Tesori should write a sung-through show for her.
I think she’s definitely got the charm and humor to pull off something light like an Annie Get Your Gun

NY City Center sent Kelly an invitation:

^ A friend of mine just asked if they’d cast Nancy in “Oliver” yet..
Would love a Broadway album from her. Her talk show films in LA, so she'd probably do something there if anything. Don't see her on Broadway anytime soon. Of course there's plenty of places in NY she could temporarily do her show if she really wants to do a musical.
Kelly Clarkson can sing the phone book and I would pay top dollar. She can pretty much take on most any genre of music and ace it.
That was a lovely rendition of the Sondheim classic.
Brava!

She did just say in an interview that her dream role is Funny Girl. Just saying!

She would be great in Annie Get Your Gun or Best Little Whorehouse, both overdue for a revival. It would be a red hot ticket, even if her acting chops aren't quite up-to-snuff. If she surprised people with her acting and comedic timing, she'd be the toast of the town and probably win a Tony.
She is my queen. Hearing her sing "Never Enough" from Greatest Showman live was just thrilling. And this is one of my favorite songs. Gorgeous.
I think she'd be cute in something like Annie Get Your Gun - but I think I would want her in something more...lush? Something that really shows how she can emote in a song.
I hope she goes nowhere near this Funny Girl, but maybe an Encores Gala eventually.
What an effortless performance, amazing! She certainly knows how to use her voice to 'act' (or at least has the capability of changing her vocal expressions in a way that will suit a character for sure), and I think a director could really help her do well in a Broadway musical if she can handle the facial expressions & spoken lines.
RE: Annie Get Your Gun - I definitely think Bernadette's performance and arrangements show that the show can be a luscious/gorgeous/emotional vocal performance. e.g. "They Say It's Wonderful" and "I Got Lost in His Arms". It seems like a brilliant show idea for her in my opinion.
I'll stand by my idea of her and Blake Shelton doing it at City Center for a quick engagement during the summer would be amazing. I don't see either of them committing to a long contract because of other commitments and children, etc.

I could actually see her doing Waitress quite well, or the Anne Hathaway role in & Juliet (maybe when it inevitably tours?).
Can we get a Waitress Live for NBC?
Def. don't see her touring in a musical...
That book would need some updating, but paired with anyone besides Michael Mayer, she would positively sparkle in Annie Get Your Gun.

It's a gorgeous rendition. She emotes well with her voice, though around the minute mark she started to do that Halle Bailey TLM mermaid thing of emphasizing weird words as money notes (e.g. right, nights). I think she'd be fine as Annie Oakley but I'd rather see her in something like Waitress rising to the acting challenge a more somber show that would give her.
I can't really picture her in anything else. 9 to 5? Giant? Bells are Ringing? Kiss Me Kate? Anything Goes? I think someone would have to write her a show. Or maybe a revue.

...Giant?
Have you heard her new rendition of 9 to 5 with Dolly? They def. take the song in a very different direction, but I loved it.
Also check out her version of "Happier Than Ever" Billie Ellish cover. Love it.

Could she pull off The Baker's Wife in Into the Woods?
She would be killer in Jesus Christ Superstar....as any part, really.
