I think the negative comments are from people who are simply bemoaning the fact that getting a portrait at Sardi's is no longer as big an honor as it used to be. No one is knocking Laura Bell, or saying she isn't a legit actress, just that it used to be that she would have to have had a longer career before this happened.
But I also agree she sure as hell is more deserving than some of the other recent additions.
PLEASE! Do not post anything negative or dramatic! DidYouReallyHearMe has LOST the ability to ignore such posts and he will comment! Please, help him.
With Clay Aiken in Spamalot, all of Broadway is singing a collective "There! Right! There!" -Me-
"Not Barker, Todd is the only person I've ever known who could imitate Katherine Hepburn...in print." -nmartin-
Good for her! When I saw her in LB, contrary to other reviews on this board, she was right on point in every single song. She's a great performer and a true professional.
Also, did anyone else notice that she's wearing the shoes from Legally Blonde Remix? I mean, she is right? I'm not insane?
"It means nothing to come and sit in a theater night after night and immerse yourself in fantasy, only then to walk out the door and be unchanged in reality. This show will live on in our hearts. But where it truly must survive is in our actions, our compassion and our generousity of spirit towards one another." - Adam Pascal on the closing of RENT
What a shame they have space!!! Why does she deserve this above so many 100s of others ?
A young actress with Noel coward after a dreadful opening night performance said to him 'Well, i knew my lines backwards this morning!''
Noels fast reply was ''Yes dear, and thats exactly how you said them tonight'!'
I'm gonna preface this by saying... Laura looks really nice there. Good makeup, good hair, cute coat.
However, the "caricature" is far too kind. It looks a bit like her, if she were completely symmetrical, and she's not even kinda symmetrical. It reminds me of the Ken Doll Raul-as-Bobby portrait. The LBB portrait could be its Barbie.
no... you're right shh282 christian makes the same face in EVERY photo ever.. i have some stage door pics of me and him. and then pictures of my friend bob with him. Same face. Different photo.. i think one of two things.. he hates his teeth or he thinks it looks cool.
:)
anything you do let it come from you and it will be new.

He's a faker, and you've been taken in by his con. And in doing so, you are enabling him. He is doing more damage to aspergers than papa's words ever could. -Chane/Liverpool on me having asperger syndrome.
I have never thought those caricatures were very good. I had dinner there in the 70s and thought they were pretty crude back then.
And LBB deserves one as much as anyone else there. She opened a new show, she's created two roles on Broadway and has many fans. Look around and see how many totally forgotten faces there are on those walls.
I'm writing this as fire crews are mopping up the huge fire at the corner of Hollywood and Vine, just down the road from the Pantages, home of Wicked. I wonder if they'll cancel for the night?
