And most likely on April 6th the rest of the principals plan to leave too?

Not that I've heard.

Well, as far as I know, the rest of the principals will be around until at least the summer.

is andy leaving on the 6th by any chance?

Kate Shindle hinted on her blog that Kevin Federline was backstage and would be "perfect for a soon to be vacated role" since Bryce is new, and Richard is extending with the rest of the leads Kyle/Dewey is the only role that seems to fit

To the best of my knowledge, no Andy Karl is not leaving on the 6th.

I was back at Blonde tonight, to catch Becky!Elle again, who was *amazing* as always, of course, and- Stephanie Fittro? The new Kate/Chutney? Saw her for the first time tonight, and she is hilarious! Her Chutney is hysterical. I miss Kate Wetherhead's line delivery a little- 'showerrr,' and such- but Stephanie Fittro is hilarious as Chutney, and adorable as Kate.

So, I'm guessing I'll see a lot of folks on this thread on Sunday, for Haven!Elle?

if i was there tonight i would ask for evening show becuase of the stagedoor and she will be so much better than if she had not heard already she will be happy and shocked that people started the rush line before 1am.

matt doyle in an interview forst time he understudied the role of melichior he said he was surprised people were lining up for rush for him at 1am.

box office opens at noon, yankees. People started getting online from 11/11:30pm from what I've been hearing- we're talking 12, 13 hours of rush here.

Yeah, I too completely bought my ticket ahead of time for Haven!Elle. But, I am sure I will completely be in that rush mix when it come to the night of Nikki's last, lol.

I feel really bad for you...it's sometimes unfortunate that with shows like LB and SA, the fanbases are so devout [and insane], they'll do anything for tickets, thus taking tickets that people who've never seen the show, or seen it a LOT less than them, could have had.

The evening show should be at TKTS tonight. Their weekend matinees tend to sell out.

Besides Haven!Elle, there seems to be a number of other understudies on tonight, which should make it interesting. Someone (Becky perhaps?) will have to go on in Haven's track, and then if Kittrell is on as Brooke, someone is going to have to do the D.A. and Kittrell's other bit parts. Any other absences?

I'll be there tonight, in an as yet unknown seat, thanks to TDF. :)

and then if Kittrell is on as Brooke

wait- what???

And Becky has said that she will be Margot today, unless something has changed over the past few days.

Nothing's stopping anyone who is not one of the 'insane' from camping out too... Seriously though, if you have enough interest in Blonde to have been following along enough to know that March 2 is Haven!Elle day, the camping out factor can not be a surprise. Which would be why I bought a ticket about three weeks ago.

However, I've never heard of a group of people camping out at a theatre overnight for an understudy's first performance until this past year...it was never really normal until recently.
At least it's Legally Blonde, though. I would personally be a lot more annoyed if there was a monopoly on rush tickets for say, Hairspray or Sunday in the Park, which I happen to like a lot more...So I guess I can't really complain...yet.

A friend and I went to LB on 2/19 for the evening performance. There was a blonde woman sitting to my left and another blonde sitting to the right of my friend. About 5 minutes after we sat down the women saw each other for the first time. Turned out they lived 5 housed apart in Minnesotta and both knew Becky and had no idea they were even in NY at the same time. The one told me a lot of great stories about Becky It was really cool.

Thanks for the replies guys. I might try to get a discount ticket. I really didn't think people were going to camp out - early morning lining up, sure, but oops! Oh well. If I don't get to go, I hope there will be lots of reports!

Rush was definitely way intense, but thank god it's over now. People started getting there around 11PM last night, and I'd say that rush was full by around 6am. The evening show was full around 3AM, I'd imagine.

I saw the evening show....

She was fantastic! Awesome, awesome voice. The ending to "So Much Better" was incredible. She seemed very sure of herself, and only went up on her lines once (she had to be prompted about the Shop for a Cause charity). She was by far the prettiest Elle Woods they've ever had (she looked AMAZING in the Playboy bunny outfit!). Her line readings are different from LBB- Haven didn't play it quite as ditzy sounding. It was a more earnest portrayal, if that makes sense. was very much impressed by her this evening. It sounded as if she had a lot of fans in the audience tonight too, because she had some intense cheering for her. I hope she gets the chance to go on again, because she rocked tonight. The cast was very supportive and they were all over her at the end of the curtain call. Kate Shindle practically engulfed her in a hug as the curtain came down.

I have to say, the best part about this show is still Orfeh. Orfeh. Orfeh. Orfeh. That woman is amazing. Can someone please write her a show????

I do have to complain briefly about one of the Blonde kiddies sitting next to me. This young girl, there with some friends, was going on and on before the show about how she couldn't decide if this or Wicked was the best musical she'd ever seen. That didn't bother me too much...what did was the fact that she apparently thought tonight's performance was Sing-A-Long Legally Blonde, because she was literally bopping in her seat, shaking the whole row back and forth, singing away just loud enough to be heard by the people around her. I shushed her once, and got a dirty look. I spoke to an usher at intermission who was very kind and moved me to a box seat, where I sat with three lovely "theater marms" for act 2. I'm all for being excited and cheering (I have no problem with people "Whooing" at the end of a big number), but this girl was downright distracting.

Word. She was phenomenal tonight. But she just always seems to get better and better, it's amazing.

And I agree, Haven was great. I still think her dancing needs work, but for her first night on, she was really really good. I loved her voice and her acting, just...fabulous.
