I'm really hoping Amy Spange is the new Brooke (haven't heard anything but i'm just hopeful)
"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel
Matt hit the wrong note there a few times... he's still hot.
Broadway Shows I've Seen: Hairspray, Chicago, Little Shop of Horrors (2003), The Wedding Singer, Spamalot, Riverdance, Rent, Beauty and the Beast, Spring Awakening, Wicked, Legally Blonde, Phantom of the Opera, Sweet Charity (revival), Drowsy Chaperone, The Lion King, Dreamgirls(2010 Tour).
They should consider Megan Sikora for Brooke and I think they might be. She would be great in the role...I would love to see her.
While I think Megan would do a wonderful job in the role, I also think that she is FAR TOO talented for the role! I'm happy she's staying with Curtains where she can really show off her dancing until August. I can only hope that after that she'll get an amazing part where when can show what a true triple threat she is!
Reading the broadwayunderstudies.com question thread made me realize I haven't posted here in a while...so I missed Gaelen going on as Vivienne the week before last, and Beth going on as Brooke last week (any Beth!Brooke reports y'all?), but I did catch Kitty!Brooke last weekend-
with bonus absence of Andy Karl that night also.
And I really wish they would announce the new Brooke already!
Beth was great :) I really enjoyed her. Some of her line readings were hysterical ("Not related"), and I thought she was genuinely funny, and looked GREAT in the costumes.
lol I meant bonus as in a u/s I didn't know was happening, not bonus as in I like it when he's not there- heck, you're looking at one of the people still hoping that maybe someday Jerry will let Andy go back on as Callahan right here...
Random curiosity: which line does Beth do, does she do the "what does not kill us makes us hotter" that Nikki does, or does she do the "I said fall out" that Kitty did?
