I heard one of those.

Wickd, that doesn't seem like Shuler Hensley to me. In fact, I'm sure it's not.

It is Shuler Hensley.
He previously played Javert in 2000-2001 on Broadway.
I second that! 100% yes to Samantha Barks as Eponine! I have never been a huge fan of the Eponines from the past Broadway casts, but she was phenomenal.

No, WickdMisrble, that is not Shuler Hensley, although it does look like him. It is not Shuler Hensley, even though it's the first hit when you search for "shuler hensley javert" on YouTube. THIS is Shuler Hensley:

Watch from about 3:45. Much bigger, richer, more powerful voice. Much, much better performer, all around. Your guy is an amateur.

Surely there are better places to argue about this.

Cassie Levy will make a great Fantine, she was so good in HAIR. Thenadier seems like a small role for Josh Gad, but maybe he just wants to do some stage work, good for him. Keep the rumors coming, I think the time for wish lists is over.

Tickets go on sale to the general public this weekend. Anyone know when we'll get an official cast announcement?

Got my tickets to this yesterday, any idea on casting either rumors of people in the running or when the cast will be announced? Thanks!
From what I've heard everything is cast right now except Enjolras (appointments are next week-every man who can sing in New York is trying to get seen)
I wouldn't expect an announcement for another few weeks. I think Cameron is waiting to let the Toronto production get it's legs before he makes an announcement about Broadway. Figure another few weeks or so.
Looks like John Brink is transferring from the tour... https://www.facebook.com/112876202130124/photos/a.319790988105310.74657.112876202130124/491727514244989/?type=1

I'm still crossing my fingers for Sierra Boggess as Fantine.

Nikki M James is Eponine, Will Swenson Javert, Caissie Levy is Fantine. Chris McCarrell is a Maruis cover. Thats all I got for ya
^ If any of that is true (I don't doubt it is)... YAWN. A boring cast for a boring production. Like the production itself, not awful, just dull, insipid, and uninspired.

I actually kinda like that casting. To be honest, was hoping Rebecca Naomi Jones would be Eponine, but James is a phenomenal choice as well! Levy will, no doubt, bring the same emotional vigor to I Dreamed a Dream that she brought to With You, and Swenson, imho, is one of the most overlooked actors on B'way today. Those who had the privilege to see him in the Encores! staging of ...Superman should know why.
Caissie Levy shrieking "I Dreamed a Dream"?! No thanks!
Please, get Sierra Boggess! At least she does not shriek when she sings!

For what it's worth, Laurence Connor recently started following Will and Caissie on Twitter.
James and Levy seem like solid choices, but Swenson...I'll be very disappointed if they opted not to bring Andrew Varela to Broadway in favor of Will Swenson. Varela's Javert was easily the best interpretation of the character I've ever seen.
I agree that Varela was an excellent Javert, but he's posted on his twitter account on more then once that he will not be playing Javert or involved in this production (mentioned a few pages back on this post, as well). His interpretation was wonderful. Full of emotion and something you just don't see in every person playing Javert.
Since this is Les Mis and the masses will flock to it, I'd love to see Andrew Varela join the cast at some point in time and play Javert, should he be interested in continuing to portray him.
